Why do PS3 games look like plastic?

It happen with the PlayStation 2 and now its happening with the PlayStation3. Games on Sony system have that plastic look to it and its really annoying. Instead of aiming for realism, games on the PlayStation console tend to have the plastic thing going for them. Don't believe me? Here's an example

gthd doesnt look like plastic to me.  gaiden does look like plastic but u should see team ninjas other games like doa.  cuz those characters look like dolls to me.

played the sigma demo and they didnt look plastic. I thought the graphics were amazing just the lighting effects were so-so. the enemies you fight before fighting these guys...you should see how detailed they are. i couldnt believe team ninja went that depth with the designs.
