Why do sheep and cows just stereo type xbox 360's and say they get 3 red lights?

Argg this baffles me! I was on the wii forums and was telling them i wanted a wii, and that i was getting

one in 2009 due to massive game syndrome lol ( 2007+2008+2009 games im getting for my 360)

then those one guy toldd me to get a wii now because my xbox 360 will get red lights... WTF? not all xbox 360's break! and i get a warranty!! I REALLY DO WANT A WII, BUT IF I HAD TO CHOOSE BETWEEN A 360 AND A WII, ID PICK AN XBOX 360, so sheep and cows dont say the xbox 360 is a peice of junk, because to some people its a wonderful system that will last me a long, long time. Thank you

What's so great about the 360? Many of the games on there are on the PS3 and those that aren't have a good chance of going to the PC (like Lost Planet and Gears of War).

well, it doesnt break when you first get it, if you read all the threads on a bunch of different forums, people get problems after a year or so it seems. just run a search on here for the 360 problem threads.

No, because I'm staging a boycott on all overpriced and under-reliable Microsoft products which is pretty much everything they make.

However the one at the Hastings where I work (Round Rock, TX if you want to see for yourself) has been worthless for some time now, I finally unplugged it yesterday because it was just using electricity.

All I meant to say was that it's stupid to base an argument off of an assumption like that. And even if everyone had to fix their 360, while it might be inconvenient, it's not the biggest deal in the world.

The entire reason I'm pointing these things out is because the OP almost seems to be denying there is a serious issue. If the 360's hardware is crap (and generally speaking, it is) then I'm going to say as much.

You didn't see me covering for Sony BMG because "not everybody bought those discs". :|

Then they are clearly oblivious and would say the same kinds of entirely inaccurate or unverified stuff about other systems too. If you buy a 360 and it doesn't fail on you more power to ya, but lots of people are having them fail repeatedly.

Please don't try to defend the 360s hardware problems unless people are just making things up, then please DO call them out on it. It doesn't serve anybody to be uninformed about the facts surrounding a product.

What's so great about the 360? Many of the games on there are on the PS3 and those that aren't have a good chance of going to the PC (like Lost Planet and Gears of War).

you know? the ps3 and 360 are pretty much the same thing library wise, although all games are ported to ps3 from 360 versions and the 360 has good platform games and a good way of letting the user know there is a problem by having red lights flash which is rare. Would you people please open your eyes?
