Why do some people pretend visual mods do not exist?

I don't give a *** about the developer.

I pay for the game, and wen i'm done getting my entertainment out of it, i'll mod it to hell and back so it'll feel and look ageless, aswell as having endless replayability.

Seriously, they should just hire those modders. Most of the time, modified graphics look way better than original. That GTA 4 mod is like running on PS4/5.

I was about to post console pics to show how undeniably wrong you are, but then realized how useless it would be to even bother with it. If you cant clearly see the noticeable improvement then you seriously need to get your eyes checked out. This isn't some PS3 vs. 360 counting pixels comparison here. Its a night a day difference. Modded GTAIV looks a generation ahead of its console counterparts.

Can PC Gamers and console Gamers not hold hands and sing Kumbayah? Even on SWS? It doesn't matter what platform you play on, gaming is gaming. Enough of this BS! It's gotten stale and dumb!

So what you're saying is that modded games should count as PC exclusives, right? I'm 100% on board with this and it should be made into a rule on System Wars. For example, vanilla GTA IV is a multiplat, modded GTA IV is a PC exclusive. After all, it's almost a different game.

No sir. I've almost got the game looking like those screens besides a few settings being off. I'm trying to dig up a thread with hundreds of posts where many different people have uploaded awesome looking screen shots. Will post link if I can find it.

The only two machines I've personally seen it run on are pretty beast compared to most gaming rigs. I'm not really sure how it would handle on a mid range PC.

I don't think any one pretends they don't exist...but when visual mods often increase a games requirements beyond what you have then whats the point of being impressed? it just followed the same theme on pc as always...get the best more expensive pc andyou'll have these great looking games...
Oblivion barely plays on my pc and wont play at all on my laptop the visual mod would just make it incapable of play on my pc downstairs.

Morrowind also has some great visual mods, for me they're basically essential for replaying the game these days. Here's some comparisons.

If the consoles can't do it, then the PC should be handicapped for it.
