Dont believe the haters/gertsmann lovers, TP is an amazing game. Actually jeff didnt even say it was a bad game, people just saw it flopped and assume its bad from that. There really is nothing like TP this gen which is why i cant wait for the next zelda.
It was a bit too easy at times and the 'twilight world' bits were simply dull, but other than that it had some great moment and some truly entertaining boss battles. I enjoyed it quite a lot.
People on System Wars expected another 10 from it, or at least an 9 something. When it rolled around at 8.8, System Wars exploded for a few days. The game's real quality on here has been obfuscated by that.
Looking back at it, it is a great game ... personally one of my favourites on the Wii (and GC).
It's just at the time of release it was hyped as the Second Comming and the fact that it only got an 8.8 (which is a bloody good score on its own) caused such hysterica on SW that it seems like people really hated it. However, truth be told most people enjoyed the game.
It's not bad at all, in fact, it's pretty awesome. Many people's problem with the title stems from it being too much of the same old 3D Zelda, it does nothing new with the series. Though to be fair, that's pretty much what most Zelda fans wanted out of the game...OoT with better graphics. :P However, I've always thought that had TP been the first 3D Zelda game, it would be just as widely praised as OoT is now.
It certainly wasn't bad !! I liked the story, but it was a bit shallow compared to the older Zelda's . It's like final fantasy ; Every installment is compared to the earlier installments, a rather unfare observation in my opinion .
From what I gather not having played it at all, the common complaints about it are thats it's way too easy of a game compared to past Zeldas and it's way too much of a OOT clone which doesn't seem to exceed it. Thats what I keep hearing, I really should play this game myself but that would mean getting a Wii. An the wii sucks.
It's not 'bad', it's still an OK game... but it lacks substance and character. the music and sound all around was quite awful, it didn't create a convincing atmosphere like the previous zeldas did.
as a result, it just wasn't a very compelling game to play through (although i played it through like 3 times just coz it's zelda)

We all think its a great game, but its problem its only a great game (AA) and not a fantasti cone (AAA). Plus it wasn't exactly the most revolutionary Zelda game ever, although it still the wolf thing though and a good 35-40 hour (first play though) quest, so I don't really see why it got so much hate, guess that 0.2 points that it missed out on AAA for really counted, although it meant for some fun times in system wars though.

Its not bad its just out of all the Zelda's its just not as good as previous Zelda titles. I could list all the problems with it, but there is no point.
I thought it was great although the core gameplay felt a bit old I liked some of the new stuff in it but we need another Zelda game that tries something fresh. Also it's one of the last few games I've played with a main quest that has a nice length instead of the 5 hour long games we keep getting lately.

Nah, not really. They can't take a opinion by a grain of salt.
Bad, hell no. It's a darn good one. However, it feels to me too much like it's predecessors. That stole some of it's charm away. I particularly felt they needed more work on the sound. Too much low grade midi in there.
