It helps decide which console to buy. If RE5 is both on 360 and PS3 but one of them has an exclusive game I want I'd go with the one with the exclusive game I want.linkhero1
yep thats pretty much it..
generally multiplatform is a good thing, but in the case of the ps3, less exclusives means less reasons to spend the extra money, if you can get the same game cheaper elsewhere
exclusives define a console, and play a large part in how successful that console is.fuzzysquash

I realize that which is why I said we as gamers don't care about that, I mean you don't want your console to fail and have no games made for it but when you have morons petitioning to have DMC4 brought back exclusively for ps3 its a little weird. Id be almost embarassed to tell a normal person thats not a gamer that I would sign something like that.
The only way losing exlusives works is if they are for two consoles that are drastically differently priced.DaysAirlinesExactly! I'm a gamer at heart so I hold no blind loyalty to any one system(though I favor the xb/360).. I'll buy all three system's when/if I find that they're worth purchasing.. However given the fact that I already own a 360 (and possibly a wii by years end), It's becoming difficult to justify purchasing the PS3 when most of the games I want keep getting brought over to the 360 ie RE5, VF5, DMC...
