Why do you care about PS3's games if you don't own a PS3?

Why do people care so much about Playstation 3's games when they don't own one?

I keep seeing all these 'LAIR FLOPPED OMG LOLZ' and 'this PS3 game is going to flop' 'What are you going to play next?!?' next etc etc

Why do you even care if you don't own a PS3 and don't plan on getting one?

My opinion is that the people into how PS3 games are rated secretly want(ed) a PS3 and they hope the games on it turn out to be terrible so they can feel good inside about not getting it because it was out of their price range

If all these games weren't flopping to begin with, then some of us might pay $600 to buy a PS3. I bought a Wii and 360, well over $600 combined, so price isn't an issue, games are.V_Isle

If all these games weren't flopping to begin with, then some of us might pay $600 to buy a PS3. I bought a Wii and 360, well over $600 combined, so price isn't an issue, games are. V_Isle

As for the Wii, what games does it have? Twilight princess and RE4 are Gamecube games ported to the Wii. And Warioware is no more than a collection of minigames.

So the Wii certainly does not have more games than the PS3

I made a mistake buying my Wii, I'll sell it on eBay as soon as the holidays come along with another shortage so I can get maximum re-sale price. So if I regret wasting $250 on a console with no good exclusive games(just ports as you mentioned), why would I waste $600 as well?

No, I honestly would not... which brings us to the topic at hand. I wouldn't buy it because there aren't enough good games. That's why I care about the PS3's games.
