You know in the mid 80's and through the 90's you used to love playing it. Every time you got up in the morning you probably used to run downstairs in your jammies rushing to play Super Mario Bros. I guess now that two newer systems that are bigger and stronger than it, you decide to just betray it. Who new Microsoft, a computer software company or Sony a digital entertainment company would come into the world of gaming. Nintendo has been and always will be strictly for gaming. Watch Sony and Microsoft will meet it's day. Who knows maybe Cingular Wireless might step in the gaming world and OWN all three companies:lol:
Anti-Wii fanboys are threatened by Nintendo's recent success - as the fastest selling console in January (in the US) in gaming history. In 3 months, it has sold nearly half of what the 360 could do in more than a year - and the PS3 is severely dragging behind both, at this point.
Why is it that every time sheep hear their precious Wii get bashed they make a thread to whine about it, yet the PS3 gets bashed 24/7 in the forums and by GameSpot themselves....
Because Nintendo doenst propagate the false, and absurd, idea that games need to validate your manhood with violence, mature content and lots of guns. Nintendo makes games that are fun because of the gameplay whereas most consumers want to feel "cool" or feel like they are men by engaging in violent activities that require little to no brain power whatsoever. Because of image people like to bag on nintendo; which results from years and years of being trained by commercials, advertising and other forms of media which, because most people are and will remain ignorant fools, ingrain idiotic concepts of what it is to have fun.

I think people hate Nintendo because the Wii graphics are so pathetic. Its hard to see the system having much of a shelf life.JiveT
It's hard to have a shelf life when it can't even be found on shelves. The success of the Wii just proves that people want more from game consoles than raw horsepower. They want to have fun, and the will currently supplies that by the bucketful.
People played the NES back in the day and loved Nintendo for the games because they were fun. Now that gamers have grown older, more companies (Sony and Microsoft) are bringing out systems and releasing games. So, people maybe want something different and they go for a shooter or an RPG instead of Mario or Zelda. Or there are the insecure gamers that say Nintendo is kiddie....
Gamers' tastes in games are changing. Its not that they are betraying Nintendo, its just that Nintendo isn't giving a gamer what they want. I'm not saying Nintendo is bad or crappy though, its just that certain gamers think that way.
