[QUOTE="Jagazaar"]Wasn't there some kind of embargo on Japanese technology until recently? Maybe since this is the first batch of consoles being released there, Sony wants to come out swinging and make the PS3 seem as attractive as possible (especially since it's apparently cheaper there than in the US). If Sony, Nintendo or Microsoft could sway such a fanatical gaming community into enjoying consoles too, there's a lot of potential to be found sales-wise IMO. We'd probably also all get our collective butts kicked at Resistance, Halo 3, Motorstorm, whatever.HarlockJC
Everytime I read you sign I can't belive that someone thought that Nintendo did not make games. Bigger markets are always great means more games that we all could like I love minigames but most people do not so they don't make has many has I wished they did. More markets could mean more minigames or more of other types of games other people like.
Heheh, yeah, I've only been on GS a short time, but it's by far the best quote I've seen (right up there with the "Who/what the hell are the Zerg"?). Just HAD to sig it.
Yeah, a new big console market would be interesting times for the gaming industry as a whole. I dunno if it'd create more minigame-based games, from what I gather the big-league games in Korea seem to be online games RTSs like Starcraft. I'd bet that there'd be more 'hardcore' online multiplayer games relying on skill though, since those are bigger than sports over there. If you like minigame-based games, Mario Party 8 is only a short time away, and apparently this one has online multiplayer. I'd recommend that one if you like others in the series, along with Raving Rabbids and Warioware: Smooth Moves.
