The 360 isn't cheap, the other consoles are over priced. I can get a Gamecube for $65 so why isn't the Wii the same price. And a 360 and blueray drive for my PC costs $300._Pinbot_

The 360 is cheaper because it takes Microsoft less money to make it than a PS3/PC.

Everybody knows it's the Blu Ray drive and already built in Wi-Fi that makes PS3 more expensive than 360. By just a spec comparison of the CPU and GPU (the primary components of game playing) 360 holds its own against PS3 just fine.

Everybody knows it's the Blu Ray drive and already built in Wi-Fi that makes PS3 more expensive than 360. By just a spec comparison of the CPU and GPU (the primary components of game playing) 360 holds its own against PS3 just fine.

Because Microsoft are continually revising their hardware so that with each incarnation it's become cheaper to produce and they have passed that on to the consumer, they could have kept the price higher to cover the cost of the RRoD problems (but they've ringfence $1bil agains tax for that anyway) but no they've chosen to aggresively price the 360 at the point where it's becoming a casual purchase.

An arcade for £100 is £80 cheaper than a Wii and lets be honest the hardware in the box is better.

PS3 does not have 6CPUs it has SPEs not CPUs and they are different,iit also uses 7 out of 8 of them.

The 360 on the other hand has a tripple core processor called the Xenon

The PS3 has it's ram split equally 256 for the SPEs and 256 for the GPU

The 360 has shared ram which means that programers have more flexability when it comes to how much video ram to use. I think that makes it better. Also it's heavily reported that the ram situation in the PS3 is a bottleneck.

The DVD drive in the 360 is capable of transfering data at a rate fast enough to play games from, ever wonder why you HAVE to install PS3 games it's because the Blu Ray drive doesn't so it that regard it is inferior.

So please if you are going to make such a post in SW get your facts straight.
