Why do you Xbox fans say the PS3 is overated

I don't want people telling me there thoughts i want proof of why Xbox is soo much better than a PS3,

Fist ill will admit i think the Xbox was better then PS2. But i don't under stand how the 360 is better then PS3.

here on gamespot ps3 is under rated. 360 has higher rated games so its all crazy this forum is crazy the people in it argue about stupid stuff its weird.

I happen to like current and upcoming games better than the ones for for the PS3, doesn't mean I think it is overrated.

Maybe some find it overrated because a lot of people expected the PS3 to easily overpower the 360 after the initial hype and promises from Sony them self , that followed by the crazy launch price and lacklustre lineup until now maybe gives them a point ?

What the XBOX was pwned by the PS2 in fact if I'm not wrong the PS2 still is the highest selling console atm.

But the tables where turned with the latest generation and I simply put it that Xbox 360 was at its peak time with its 2yr games coming out and PS3 launched to expensive and without a real killer app.

The xbox had better graphics than the PS2 but the PS2 was the better console as it had alot more great games out for it and the graphics wasn't to far away from the xbox.

Up to today date i would say the 360 is better than the PS3 because it has a larger selection of games coming out regularly, it has the same quality or better exclusive version of games and the online is better with the 360. If Sony can get a regular flow of games coming out, get their big exclusive out and sort out the online store a wee bit more then it can come back and beat the 360 but as it stands the 360 is the better console.

PS3 Overrated? Nooooo. how can that be when it is the least popular most hated console right now? I'm not gonna call it underrated either b/c it doesn't warrant a purchase at the moment (IMO) but 2008 seems like a great year for GAMERS!!

gimmie that price drop and in 2008 i'll have my ps3 with the hopefully great titles to come.

Everyone has their own preferences, I for one don't really like most of the games for the wii, does that make it a bad console?

After your post i came to think that it's not the consoles that are better then each other but it's the games that are. But that's only becuase you really big titles havent came out yet.

I don't have proof so i'll like you help on this one but with Blueray cant PS3 make better games then 360. PS3 havent made better game yet but when the companys learn how to use Bluray at it's best wouldent PS3 games be way better then 360.

Once again im not saying 360 is bad cause i know the 360 is alot off fun but dose anyone agrea with me?

Explain to me peacebringer why Lemmings are desperate in your eyes. What are we desperate for? AAA games? Good online play? Im not desperate by any means. I have plenty of great games to play on my system. The question is do you?

No. Bluray is nice to have for space but compression techniques have come so far that although bluray is a nice feature it isn't necessarily needed. the only times i can think of when it would definitley be needed is with audio and cg video used in for example: JRPG's

I can't freaking believe you are being so biased against xbox owners, are you freaking kidding me. yes they can be annoying, what do you expect? after all the years of listening to PS2 fans bash the hell out of xbox owners, now the tide has turned and sony fans can't handle it.

personally I find it sad how sony fans have acted, my god everything from websites being biased to stupid conspiracy theories,even knocking the 360 over a stupid power brick. sony fans will go to no end just to let 360 owners know that their system is not a good one, even when you guys keep on seeing games on a consistent basis get great scores.

PC, 360, Wii, PS3, PS2 owners are all annoying, but of course you are only going to notice the people who bash YOUR system of choice, cause I'm pretty sure that anything negative that is said about another system you have no problems with, but if someone says anything negative about yours, smoke probably comes out of your ears and nostrils. so please give us a break and cut the crap.

I own a 360 and I love it, I don't come in here starting posts bashing anything, just enjoying a good debate here and there, unfortunately it always goes off topic and turns into a bash fest.

not to say that the system is not a good one, but its not doing as great as Sony said it was going to do. I am aware though that the system will kick major ass soon, better than the 360 I don't know, but it will rock.

The PS3 isnt going to beat the 360. Its just not going to happen. However, hopefully for the PS3 owners, Sony will get their collective heads out of their butts and start putting out some games so it can at least stand on its own. But, the PS3 will not win this gens war.

You mean the Ps3? the only Real next gen platform (not xbox 1.5) with its 1080p 120 fps 4d graphics that will crush everything we knew about the world of video games with Blueray making all the games bigger and better like 40+ hours a piece. You mean the same Ps3 that could replace all your computer in the home because it has a web browser and the cell processor.

I am a devoted lemming, and i own 2 PS3 60 gig consoles that sit along side my 2 360 Elites. PS3 is not over rated or under rated. Its just UNDER DELIVERING with games..thats all. Its a great piece of hardware, great blu ray player and media hub....but right now its just not offering much of anything thats different or better than whats available on xbox360. I have had the console for almost a year now...and i have only played 6 games on this system. Resistance, Warhawk, Heavenly Sword , Motorstorm, Ninja Gaiden Sigma and Tekken Resurrection. Soon to add Ratchett and Clank and Uncharted. I guess thats not a bad year...it just seem like long waits in between good games.

It's not overrated. Overrated implies that it's getting high ratings for games that don't deserve them. The correct adjective is overhyped. The PS3 has been overhyped by Sony. It was supposed to be the end all and be all of next gen gaming. As the world has seen, that hasn't been the case. The 360 might not have as expensive of technology in it, but that hasn't prevented it from putting out some awesome, well reviewed, and good selling games.
