Why does everybody say psp **** (Read before post)

Im not trying to be a fanboy because my sister does own a DS and i like it very much but it feels so cheap....you know kind of like how the gameboy advanced felt....DS shouldnt even be in the same Leauge as the psp in my opinion i mean psp plays

-Music
-Videos
- Games

It displays

-Pictures
- Hook it up to your digital camera

It does

-Wireless internet
- Wireless online play

If you have version 1.50 or custome firmware you can play any game  you want without buying it. It also has better hardware in it......DS is good for what?? Games....chatting...online????? How can that compete with psp?? Everybody hates psp because of its games but come on??? I dont see no DS with VCS or LCS or wait!! THose games sucked!!! WTF those games rocked! for ps2 they sucked not for psp.

Sorry DS fans but i cant see how you can sit on your computer chair and claim DS can even stand up to psp....mario is for kids and 30 year olds.....most teens perfer to play games that involve killing in it

PSP isnt even that much money....20$ more then the DS and who the **** cares about sales??? Thats not something us gamers should worry about its what the companies providing the games, systems should care about. Hell if your fav console is in 3rd place but you really want this really good game for it then go buy it! God no offence to some nintendo or microsoft or sony fanboys but i really dont think sony or microsoft or nintendo want us to care about how they are selling. gokurocks2442

im glad your enjoying the PSP.

however, as a gaming machine, i prefer the DS. the range of games it has is better than the PSPs imho. the PSP has more functionality like music and movie playing but, to be frank...i dont care. hell i think the wii has too many features for a console. i want dedicated games hardware at lower prices, not features that ill never use. 

the main thing that hold the PSP back from being a nice gaming machine is the lack of a second nub imho. i tried to play GTA on the PSP and found it to be a lesson in frustration.  in alot of ways devs also have alot to answer for, there porting PS2 games over and doing a bad job. personally id much prefer to play any GTA game on a PC (also too many features.....dont get me started). 

im not saying that the PSP has no merit as a gaming machine though, not by a long shot. games like loco roco and lumnies are not only great games, but also great games for on the move. however they dont justify the price tag, which is another weakness of the system imho. 

it really comes down to what u want. personally im after games and just games so the DS is a more tempting proposition. imho it is the better gaming machine. i would have liked the DS to be a bit more powerful but thats my only problem with it really. 

but if someone wants multimedia and that kind of thing in their gaming device then i would tell them to avoid the DS like the plague.

I have both, and both are great.One thing about the DS I'd add is downloadable demos. There are many DS games I think I might like, but I don't want to spend that much money if I'm not sure.My purchase of LocoRoco can be entirely attributed to the existence of a demo.sdelaney86

I love my PSP too... maybe not as vehemently as you do, but I take it with me everywhere nonetheless.

Game for game, it can certainly hold its own against the DS.  As much as the fanboys try to say otherwise, the PSP is a great handheld gaming system that has the software to back it up.

AND.... it's a great portable media device.  I watch movies, download podcasts(both audio and video) with it's RSS feature, and listen to music with it all the time.  Some sites even offer magazines and comics formatted for the PSP.

What DS does have going for it though is sales.  But I don't buy/use only because something's popular.  I just like what I like.  And I like the funcitonality of PSP.
