[QUOTE="Floppy_Jim"][QUOTE="CubanBlunt"] [QUOTE="Floppy_Jim"]There are a lot of people from the USA on this forum and Microsoft are an American company. That's why you see a lot of fanboys and even a lot of people with high levels and postcounts always side with Microsoft instead of Sony. And of course, there's the $600 price tag and forced Blu-Ray which pissed off a lotta people.CubanBlunt
How did Sony force Blu-Ray on anyone, its a decent feature that you don't have to use if you dont want to. For $500 (My 80gb was), you're getting either a Blu-Ray player for free or a game concole for free, which ever way you look at it. (I know someone will take this out of content, but hey, thats what fanboys do best)
Hey, I like the Blu-Ray, I consider it to be a positive. And I also consider the PS3 to be terrific value. But you can't buy a PS3 without getting Blu-Ray and some people don't like that. Sony forced Blu-Ray on people the same way they forced DVD on people last gen. You and I may like it but some don't, simple as that.
Then why use the word "Forced". Your mother forced you to eat your Peas (I like Peas), your mother forced you to get in the tub, Sony wanted to add blu-ray to the PS3. You said you like Blu-Ray and thats kool, but for anyone to say Sony forced blu-ray on you is just not true at all.
So maybe "forced" isn't the right word. But it's impossible to buy a PS3 without getting a Blu-Ray player. Some people just want a games machine without having to pay the extra $$$ for something they don't want. But I'm happy having a games machine with built-in Blu-Ray, so I'm not gonna complain.
