Why does everyone say the PS3 has no games?

But I own 25 360 games and 1 ps3 game. The PS3 has one game.

games that justify its pricetag? like you said muliplats so why buy a ps3 if you get the same experience on a 360 for less. of course it does have exclusives but then alot of people are quite apathetic towards most ps3 exclusives which means the ps3 is left with mgs4 as a unique selling point which for many does not warrant a $400 pricetag/purchase.sonny2dap

You get blu-ray player aswell with the PS3 (It isn't the best thing in the world but it's a nice bonus)

Indeed, the console won't be around in 6 months time by my estimates. I'm not most pleased, I've basically purchased a black shiny paperweight.

The PS3 has no games is actually believe it or not an argument that was created by the cow. See back in the begining the PS3 was in a really bad dismal state. It was so expensive in the beginning and everyone wanted one then all of a sudden people couldn't sell them for tons of $$$ on ebay anymore.

Eventually things got bad over here on the NPD's and the GBA was routinely out selling the PS3. Which became known as the PS3 vs GBA GRUDGE MATCH! With a hilarious picture of it as well.

This is also when the term "JUST WAIT" was popularized by the cow. Because the PS3 began to pick up sales and they would claim, "Look at sales now! The PS3 is selling on par with the 360 with no games! Imagine when it gets games! Just wait!"

So yes the no games argument came from look at what PS3 is doing with no games imagine when it gets games its over! Argument.

Well when the PS3 finally started getting games the lemmings would just downplay them with the same phrase the cow created in, "It has no games"

This is an old arguement, and multiplats can and do cont towards a system's library. The problem is that is there really enough difference in the two libraries for your average gamer to buy both a PS3 and and 360?

Example: I bought my 360 after my Wii, around the time of the price drop to $350. I bought if for exclusives I knew I wanted (Kameo, DoA, Eternal Senota, Blue Dragon, PGR4) as well as multiplats I knew the Wii wouldn't get (AC, MKvsDC) It also helped that since I didn't have an Xbox, I could buy games like Fable, KotOR, DoA 1-3, and other XB exclusives as well. This leaves the PS3 with a dwindelling number of games to attract my attention and money. Currently, I'm only interested in Heavenly Sword and LBP with DCU Online in the future.

Now obviously, the same can be applied to the 360 if one already has a PS3. However, thanks to it's longer life and bigger library, the 360 has more exclusives than the PS3. Right now I kind of see the situation as the reverse of last gen. The XB had some great exclusives, but when 85% of the library can be played on the PS2, it makes it a harder sell.

ps3 has lots of interesting games

of course 360 has more games but a prefer ps3's game library
