I actually think that the Mario Kart wii version looks horrible, I don't really see an improvement on the graphics department, I just see a bloom overuse.

You might do well to compare DD to some of the new tracks in MK Wii. The Wii version looks better, but its not supposed to blow you away as it is just one of the GC tracks that are in the game.

The textures are the same in both versions. The bloom effect makes the Wii version look worse.

I don't even have to watch the videos to know that they are comparing Double Dash to GC tracks. Trust me, the tracks based on other systems, and the entirely new tracks will look much better. Basically, the only difference on the GC tracks is that they've been widened a little, and there's some more stuff in the background.

One thing I have noticed, however, is that MK Wii is much more vibrant and contrasting. It's almost as if Double Dash had limited colours for each track. This is especially obvious on the Waluigi Stadium.

Ok, these are the differences:

Wii has bloom and atmosphere

GC has more contrast

If they took out the bloom and atmosphere they would be identical. Doesn't look bad though.

Does this look a bit better? Most of those are NEW tracks, not the retro ones.
