Why does mario kart wii look so bad? + onyl 16 new levels

I still don't understand when games like super smash brothers brawl, and super mario galaxy look so amazing, some how nintendo could just poop on this franchise?

Maybe they focused on speed. That would be better than graphics imo.

Plus those tracks do look big. It seems likely.

I'm looking at the Nintendo Power images from the Holiday 2007 Issue and The images from Mario Kart Wii in the Magazine looks 10 times better then the Images in the Original Post.

its still in development and the grafics have not yet been polished to such a shine.

and its been only 16 new tracks in every game since mk64, but i'm not complaining if they do another retro cup with better tracks, hell i would love a rainbow road cup with every rainbow road since 64 :p

Haha! Bash? And im not missing out, I own a Wii, and Galaxy, and soon SSBB. I'm just stating Wii's graphics are not great, they are average - below average. I like Galaxy, but the graphics are not like for me to say WOW. I was impressed for it being a Wii game, but if it was on the PS3 or 360, I would be like "meh, its okk".

Sure, SMG doesn't compare to 360/PS3 games on a technical level, but I find the look and colors of the game far more appealing than most 360/PS3 FPS's on the market today. SMG is pretty impressive in 480p, though. Some of the planets have great textures and look incredible on Wii.

Galaxy looks ggod and MUCH BETTER THAN MARIo KART IN THESE SCREENS. that was the point. but it's hard for someone that has a hard time reading what was actaully said.

I also have a PS3 and 360 and i would LOVE for wii graphics to look better. But i ALSO have the ability to be objective and see that Mariokart CAN look better than this.

You seem to defend the wii way to much. As a console this gen it just sucks. I loved SMG and Re4 but what else has there been? The ps3 has better games at this point and always will. Mp3 sucked imo that series died after the first prime for me.
