Again it feels like Sony is missing the ball? What is going on? I hear nothing about the "SONY MOTION CONTROLLER", I mean cant they come up with a name already?

it may be because MIcroosoft is supporting Natal a lot more then sony is, so more people know about it thus making more people excited about it.
thats funny cuz i hear alot about sonys motion control, and how it is the best one for gaming.Killzowner
err when have you heard that other then the threads that you yourself make?

from everyone who is excited about playing HARDCORE games with motion tech. it was fun for a while on the wii, but they just dont make the kind of games that sony devs make, and sony devs are already working with the motion control. Cant wait to see the game. Natal however is more focused on non-hardcore gaming, such as folder movements, pc applications, and casual dinosaur walking experiences.Again it feels like Sony is missing the ball? Because Sony aren't really hyping it and most people see it as a Wiimote rip off. Meanwhile M$ is hyping Natal and its an almost ridiculous concept.

Because Sony's ball-a-stick looks like Ninty's M+. Natal is Doing something different from Sony and Nintendo. That's why it stands out more.
Sony is still developing it and making sure games can be run on it usefully. Microsoft is putting it together in and possibly planning to fixx the glitches and failures as they go. That's why they hype it more so that more people buy it before it potentially bombs. My Opinion.Again it feels like Sony is missing the ball? What is going on? see thats the thing, microsoft has actually said they are looking at pc applications and such for natal. this shows they are not putting 100% effort of its use for 360 and gaming only. Sony however is not worried about anything else except gaming for their motion control. This is why i take them serious.[QUOTE="dragonfly110"][QUOTE="Killzowner"] from everyone who is excited about playing HARDCORE games with motion tech. it was fun for a while on the wii, but they just dont make the kind of games that sony devs make, and sony devs are already working with the motion control. no, because Sony is focusing on the games and you should be happy about it. Ms' strategy is not only oriented to give its costumers qualitative games, but also to gain another chunk of the market constituted by the casual gamers.Again it feels like Sony is missing the ball? It feels like its getting the most hype because it is. MS knows that all you have to do is pull out the smoke and mirrors, get people excited about it, and then release it (no matter if its good or not). I've said before and I'll say it again, MS is running aournd saying this will change gaming, that being without a controller will make you feel like part of the game. But the reality is, unless you want some wii-sports type stuff, some on-rails type stuff, some stand and shoot type stuff, its almost pointless. Bu, bu, but you can use some of the features WITH a controller. Yes, yes you can. And it should be labeled "tacked on" since thats how 360 fanboys treated the six-axis. Also, it shows MS' as the puppet master claiming its for controller-less gaming but their core audience will not use it like that at all.PoppaGamer
I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with you, but in my opinion Natal is a step in the right direction for full functioning VR simulation. Imagine 10 years from now? Natal is a good steping stone for such technology, might not be perfect now, it's not, but a good solid step. I'm interested in trying it.
Sorry man but Sony and its fans need to understand its days of gaming domination are over. No longer can Sony simply make an announcement and have to industry foaming at the mouth. If Sony wants to make a splash, they need to show and prove they have the goods. That hearsay stuff is obsolete in this gen, the industry wants constant updates of info about the device, its benefits, and anything else related to the technology. Game On....Again it feels like Sony is missing the ball? What is going on? I hear nothing about the "SONY MOTION CONTROLLER", I mean cant they come up with a name already?

I agree, its a stepping stone. I just don't think MS should be launching it now because of where we are at in this gen and the lack of use for it. That aside, my biggest beef is with the misinformation MS is spreading about the product. Its all hype and not much to deliver with.Natal looks nice but the recognition stuff is bs..u have to wear bright colors just to be seen by the camera..well atleast for nowktrotter11thats why it's WIP
Because M$ is a hype machine. They can even sell broken products and get away with it.Odrec+1 @ that. Microsoft: Leader on defectous products since 1995....

I know when I talk about Sony they are only about gaming. WOOT!
Back on topic, the reason I see Natal getting more attention is because it is being made avilable to the public. At E3 the public was able to play with it, heck it was even on the Jimmy Fallon show.

For once, i agree with you :P I think its too late to make a difference now, they shouldve waited until next gen to do it.I don't get it either. It seems the same as Eyetoy which was not that good.kage_53Eyetoy doesnt have facial or voice recognition, nor can it scan in a 3D space, so its clearly an upgrade, but so far, i dont think its as accurate as the Sony wand thingy

because MS is really serious and behind Natal and Sony is behind it's motion controller about as much as it was behind the eyetoy.Again it feels like Sony is missing the ball? What is going on? I hear nothing about the "SONY MOTION CONTROLLER", I mean cant they come up with a name already?

1.because microsoft is actually smart and markets their stuff unlike other game companies.
2.cows won't shut up about it.
is it true that the sony motion stuff is going to be more accurate since its using the wii like remotes + the ps3 eye
i remember hearing about it during E3but sure if it was confirmed or verified
i have a wii and the only game i like using the wii motes is for wii sports baseball other than that am not a fan of motion controls and i dont care for ms or sony's attempt i prefer controlers lol
it has to be a game were ur doing natural motions (like the baseball game) for me to get into the motion stuff
but playing something like marvel ultimate alliance i prefer the old fashon way of pressing buttons and using analog stick
It is getting more hype for two reasons. First, the public is more excited about the additional possibilities it brings not just for games, but for interacting with your media. Second, MS has made a NATAL a HUGE focus in their plans going forward for the 360 and even the PC. Sony simply doesn't seem to be pushing their own device nearly as hard.
