Because its nothing that special and more importantly, the game itself is terrible IMO.tommyasI enjoyed the game so I think it was good. System Wars seems to have the worst in gamers who hate any game that isn't absolutely perfect or is not a carbon copy of every other game in the genre.
I was playing it on my brother's ps3 yesterday. The visuals aren't spectacular. Not to mention the cars handle like hovercrafts.
Well yah it's more of an arcade racer. But you should try it on PC since it looks better. It's uses the same game engine as Battlefield 3.I was playing it on my brother's ps3 yesterday. The visuals aren't spectacular. Not to mention the cars handle like hovercrafts.

[QUOTE="SaltyMeatballs"]Dirt 3.RyviusARCYes Dirt 3 looks great on PC but that doesn't mean NFSTR looks terrible like some are saying. But Dirt 3 looks better, so who cares about NFSTR? Dirt 3 is also a better game.

But Dirt 3 looks better, so who cares about NFSTR? Dirt 3 is also a better game. Dirt 3 looks better in some areas but NFSTR looks better in others. They are two completely different styles of gameplay in the racing genre. I enjoyed NFSTR a lot mainly because it wasn't a direct copy and paste of another racing game. I probably would of disliked it if it was like Dirt 3 because there is already a Dirt 3. I like both games for different reasons. People who say it sucks are just jumping on the bandwagon. If they want to play a crappy game then go try something like Drake of the 99 Dragons.

Wrong no console game can match it on PC. Consoles can't even run NFSTR on high let alone ultra settings. And GT5 and Forza are full of card board cut outs. Dirt 3 (when on PC) can look better in certain areas though but NFSTR does larger environments and weather better.dirt, GT and forza look better.

nah, those screenshots you posted didn't look like anything special. forza and dirt especially look better.
Bleh you guys have your standards too high or are just jumping on the hate bandwagon but that is what I expect from system wars. Probably never played an LJN game.RyviusARC
He He. I hate to sound like a noob. But, what's that?

I actually think most of the NFS games are good. It looks great but I have issues with some of the tracks being to plain. Like the avalanche track....flat out ugly. Also the cars are to toyish.

Lol then why can't consoles come anywhere close to maxing out NFSTR? They can't even run it on high let alone ultra settings. You are too influenced by GT5 and F4 photomode bullshots.I like most of NFS that came out before this, and I have to say I really hate NFSTR. with environment graphics like that but no free roam? and what's up with the car interior? shift series has a much better detailed car. But the biggest dissapoinment is the races are just too boring. the only exciting race is just at that snow mountain where you have to avoid that chunk of rocks..
It looks like Forza Motorsport 2.foxhound_foxI don't even have to go there. it's easy to see it looks better than GT5 and Forza 4 by looking at actually screenshots. Here is Forza 4 with it's 2D backgrounds or flat texture plastered on low poly background. It also has low LOD and jagged lines (aliasing).
Need for Speed: The Run looks quite mediocre when you actually play it. I think the Frostbite 2 engine is probably to blame because Battlefield 3 (on consoles) looked even worse than the latest NFS.
You must be doing something wrong (or playing it on consoles) NFSTR looks great when playing it maxed on PC.Need for Speed: The Run looks quite mediocre when you actually play it.
