dont own a wii, own a 360. But one must say Nintendo has put out a great console. But being a tech geek I would have payed and additional $250 on the wii to have PS3 and 360 graphics.
But like I said they did there homework and made a great console at a great price, I wish them the best of luck.
Keep In Mind Nintendo Wii Uses ATI/IBM aka USA/NORTH AMERICAN hardware not japanese lol if your gonna put it that way so ya We Americans/North Americans do make amazeing Tech! Nintendo might be a japanese company but we make the best hardware in the world dont forget that which those same manfactured components are used in 360 also IBM PROCESSORS and ATI graphics so Wii is equal in crap as 360 if your gonna put it that way think before you post.

But yer you have a point. The overall build quility of the PS3 is much higher than the 360. But thats how alot of stuff from the USA is. I could be worse, it could be made in China :D . No racism intended.
Actually, I think American companys like GM, Apple, and Cisco could/would make a damn good console. We just got stuck with a company like M$ to handle our business.
Japaneese people are weirdos. Their tastes obviously don't agree with the rest of the world where 360 is doing quite well. After all this is the same country where people watch stuff like Ninja Warrior. Hell look at japanese porn even. Its all weird stuff.
