Why even own a console?

At this point in the gen, consoles arn't really worth much aside paper weights or doorstops.. All you get is a jaggy, lesser gamingexperience. The extremly rare worthwhile exclusive doens't warrant paying 200$+ per console not to mention controllers other peripherals. And tbh i'd rather avoid the dozens the casual fps's, movies, wannabe racing sim's, and rehashed fighters... Only fathomable reason to own a console is if you cant afford a decent PC or to play with console only friends..

While they may be technically inferior to any decent PC, the only reason anyone owns any system for gaming is for the games. If there's enough exclusive games on any platform that interest any given person, that would be a reason to own it. Maybe the majority of the games you're interested in are on PC, and there's not enough console games sparking your interest to justify the purchase of one. That's fine. I'm also in that boat. But some people aren't.

Consoles are fine. Most console players don't even notice how blurry/jaggie everything is, and even if they did, they wouldn't care.

The only thing that bugs me about my console is that its not hooked into GFWL :(

Oh, and its a shame about the lack of invasion DRM as well, I do miss that.

Did we have this question many times before? The simple answer is the games in these consoles which is why people own them.

I dunno. Every console I've bought after the PS1 ended up being a paper weight. I still fire up my PS1 from time to time but none of the games on the current consoles interest me, a lot of the been there done that but with better graphics.

I love playing on my 360 i wouldn't have it any other way.

I own my consoles just for exclusives. My PC is for everything including superior multiplats.

It's just that recently I've attempted to argue with the fanboys rationally only to be met with idiotic 'umad' posts or 'petty consolites', and so I decided why bother with the effort. These fanboys aren't open minded. My opinion, and even yours isn't going to change it. I'd rather entertain myself a bit.

Same reason why i got a Sega Genesis a few months ago, tho never owned one. The older the consoles, the better, because they become incredibly cheap. And if they have a decent portion of games exclusive to the system, it's a no brainer. Why would i limit my self to a gaming PC and only the newest of games? Sucka.
