FF7 was a good enough game, and i understand it was fairly significant to the rpg genre.. however, I honestly agree that FF3(that is, FF6) is a better game. A wider cast of likeable characters, all of which have interesting and well developed stories.. an interesting main boss that the game really makes you hate, hell it was one of the first games to really develop and introduce players to the main villian. The game was epic, its one of those games i try to replay every year. I also feel its worth noting that i loved the esper system in this game, i enjoy building up my characters so i found it fun to swap out espers and have to earn my spells that way.
Damn i love that game :) This game was so popular in my household that it drove us to buy a second super nintendo.
I don't know if we need to see a remake though. It's superb as it is, and part of what made the game so significant to me was what squaresoft was able to do with the limitations of the snes graphically.
