1. With the even greater revenues gained from the game's future sales, Square will have enough to focus on better projects that wont be crappy rehashes or spin-offs.

2. We now get to enjoy the wonder, magic and possible twists of FFXIII's storyline because bitter fanboys won't start accounts here for the sole purpose of spoiling the game.

3. Maybe we'll get a limited edition version of the game with a free stuffed Chocobo as part of the package. (okay, maybe not but I can dream)

1) I think it is apparant that SE's main budget goes to FF titles, while the spin offs and other games are typically low budget, rushed, crappier games. So making a ton of money really will go towards FF14.

2) I thought that 360 fans hated JRPGs and especially FF. I have my doubts that the game will do well at all on 360.

After the horrific press conference the Sheep had to put up with, I think they need some lovin' too.

I disagree with number 1. If its more successful then they will milk it for all its worth and continue to make spin offs. Success doesnt stop spin offs, it increases the chances. Look at FFVII and FFX they are both big hits and have spin offs.

ZIMdoom
What I'm saying is, if FFXIII had remained exclusive to PS3, PS3 owners would risk being screwed over prior to its release because a few petty @$$holes would've taken it upon themselves to spoil the game just like they did with MGS4.

Oh, how very wrong you are...

I myself love them as do many of my friends who also own 360s. But I think all these JRPGs we are getting will also attract more of them.

I was under the impression that alot of the JRPG nerds hated the X-box simply because it's American(which is precisely reason I've seen some say they dislike it, which it utter stupid).

I don't think it will stop them from doing so.

Sony owns 22% of Square...

Sony gets more than 12 dollars for every game sold on 360, and MS doesn't get a cent.

Sure more people will buy a 360 for this, but it won't be a major increase in sales.

Wait wat?

Sony doesn't get jack...maybe a slight increase on their stocks from SE...nothing more

MS on the other hand gets over $12 for each game sold on the 360

Sony gets over $12 for each game sold on the PS3

Yeah, I'm sorry I worded that wrong.

I meant to say that since Sony owns a great portion of Square, they'll benefit from this decision.
