- GDDR5 has about 8-10x the latency as does DDR3 which basically means no matter how much bandwidth the PS4 has it will be worthless.
- Xbox One is x86 and will be using the DirectX API so games will be simple to make.
- The CPU inside the Xbox One can accelerate two cores to 3.2ghz. PS4 cannot do this.
- Xbox One has 32mb of ESRAM, which allows for 100% performance hit free anti-aliasing, etc.
- Console is specifically designed to offload heavy tasks to Microsofts Azure cloud service. Essentially unlimited performance.
What people don't understand is the PS4 is not more powerful than the Xbox One. DDR3 is much better than GDDR5 at literally everything but graphics and the gap isn't even a big one. But none of that matters because as usual the Xbox is going to be much easier to develop games for, just like the last two generations. This means developers will flock to the system.
The thing I'm most excited for, to be honest, is the cloud service. Xbox One will be able to offload complex tasks to the cloud and free up system resources. We are talking about games with almost an unlimited potential for visuals.
I gotta be honest man: RIP Sony
