Why is everyone so angry about GOD OF WAR 3?

Why can't the PS3 have its sunshine glory without so many people reacting bitterly towards it?

Why can't we all embrace that we have gotten to a point in hardware technology where 4 or 5 year old Technology can look great....not just good, but great.

It seems like there's reason enough for all of us as gamers to celebrate this.....to celebrate GOD OF WAR as the 2010 Graphix King Champion.

Lets all celebrate and have a merry Christmas.

People are just angry because technically, it's not the best looking game to have come out this year. But people are taking GS awards waaaaaay too seriously, they've been a joke for a while now. :Ptagyhag

It's the best looking game technically that released this year. On consoles :D

but didn't they say one time that they give this award out, by what the game is achieving given the hardware? If so, the pc can't ever win.

If the award is about limitations, it should have gone to a PSP, or DS game.

but that's too limited :P maybe some wii games should have won though. Galaxy 2 and DKCR look amazing.

For me, God of War 3 was definitely one of the best looking games i played this year across all platforms. Was it the best? That boils down to opinions..

i played it and platinuimed it and i hav to say it is the best console graphical game. but pc this year has so much better graphcis than this. battlefield bad company 2 and pc raped gow3 there is not contest

Agreed, its an awesome game like nothing before IF you didn't play the first 2. Compared to them its pretty weak. Graphically inconsistent and a poor narrative. But I still love it cos im a pure GOW fanboy. I love watching Kratos tear guys apart

I played the first two. GoW surpassed both in all aspects aside from the narrative. There was a great selection of weapons (though the best weapon is basically borrowed from the first GoW PSP) and tons of awesome fights (my favorite is Hercules vs Kratos, who admittedly isn't the biggest of Kratos's enemies but he's the guy I always wanted to see Kratos fight).

I loved the game, the only thing that made me even remotely angry was when I was punching Zeus at the end, I kept hammering him but then I finally found out that you need to stop for the cut scene to trigger lol

1: If the flame of Olympus kills all who touch it, why can't Kratos just throw Zeus into the flame? Why does he need Pandora?

2: The story was severely lacking. Why should Pandora be the main focus? What about Kratos's family. They're dead, so they should be in Hades. Visiting them could give the game at least some sort of emotional impact.

3: The cuts made from the game are the things I like least of all.

-Giant Cyclops boss battle in Hades.

-Argus boss battle

-Ixiom puzzle sequence

-The final boss battle that would have made the game ten times more epic. The three way battle between Kratos, Zeus, and Gaia.

-The friggin epilogue sequence! This would have tied all the loose ends, and concluded the trilogy. Instead we got a messy, rushed ending that felt lame.

Had the game been given a few more months time, all of these features would have made it in. This is why it disappoints me.

I was disappointed with it, overall. It did't really have that charm part 2 did (never played 1). Also I thought that Kratos had an egg head in some of the cutscenes, which kind of though me off

I haven't played GOW3, but I have played GOW1/2 and I don't get why some people put this series on a pedestral. The gameplay (the combat)is unbelievably shallow and pedestrian for a series that gets heaped with praise. It just starts to feel so montonous, unlike Bayonetta, which allows you to mix things up if you want to. It's pretty much impossible to play God of War in any dynamic way IMO.

GoW3 looks amazing, plays amazing, and is presented in an amazing way.

I'm angry at it because everything was lame except a few of the boss fights...

Eh,when the game is dirt cheap I may consider getting it. Like 5 or 10€.

Frankly after MGS4 beating out Crysis Warhead 2 years ago there's really not much to be mad about. The whole catagory has been a laughing stock for a while now.

Crysis? A generic shooter that's praised only for its graphics? Puh-lease.
Even putting Crysis in the same sentence as MGS4 is blasphemy on MGS. Crysis, what a joke. PC elitists should really look whats WRONG with the platform, namely that pretty graphics have become more important than good gameplay or an actual story.
