they are almost always last amongst the major review sites. Please don't give me the excuse that their reviews are just that much more in detail than the others. That's simply not true as Gamespots reviews usually consist of no more than two pages. Where is the darn MW2 review!?

Lack of reviewers. Kevin V in the past month has reviewed about 10+ games. (sheer guess on the number)

Well I think it is pretty simple. They have to play the game thoroughly on Multiplayer and the campaign. Now I'm notsure if they do it on all difficulties, but you have to take the time into account on all of those things I just mentioned. On top of that it also depends on when Gamespot receives the game. There is a lot of things that come into account.

edit: Also what the guy above me stated.

There are no good reasons. Gamespot is just becoming more and more irrelevant. I'm here for the forums :)

Their mottos for reviews is accurate, not timely. Who cares, to be honest, your going to get MW2 no matter what. Can you not infer it will be like MW1? I mean this is a pretty consistent developer here, it would be shocking if they put out a broken product.

so, by your logic, its not possible to be accurate and on time? I'll let my boss know that the next time I miss a deadline.

Well seeing as how MW is the most broken online game this gen (technical issues: disconnecting, freezing at various places i.e. loading screen). Not to mention I can't connect with my friends on MW2, which is mainly why I bought the game. I'm very frustrated right now.

I agree with being overwhelmed with the number of games. I also worry about the number of rushed reviews out there. How many times have each of us seen a review that was rushed and because of it there was misinformation on the review?

I'll answer your question with another question: How can the big sites have released their reviews quicker than that people have actually played the online? Don't you need to try out the online for atleast a day to be sure on how it works and not just with your buddies at the office?

They're quite slow with reviews but I thought they'd get the MW2 review out on time.

I wonder how long it'll take for the NSMBWii Review.

Im pretty sure thats not what I said. And Im also pretty sure the editor of GS had given him a deadline, and he probably didnt break it. The game comes out today dude. Its still today.

EDIT: Im gonna take a guess and say the review is "late" because theyre testing the online with the inflow of people that bought the game and are playing it online today.

I figured they wanted to test the online when it would be at its "Weakest" in terms of connection and stuff. Today and tomorrow I'd say are going to be amongst the two biggest server days for Infinity Ward

If you notice, they never seem to be late with reviews on movie based games.

For example, there was no delay for Astroboy, and yet I can't imagine anyone here pining for it...

And the thing is, we all know movie games are usually garbage.

Yeah! who cares about accuracy and quality in a review? What's the point on delaying a review a little to test if a game's biggest selling-point actually works when you can get an early review that lacks vital information instead. That's just lame stuff.

Far as i remember, Gamespot usually only reviews the retail versions, they don't get that many review copies sent their way. But hey, at least their credibillity isn't on sale to the highest bidder as of IGN's
