Why is it that people act like the Wii has nothing for 09?

Honestly, there's a lot for everyone, and I don't see why so many people are complaining.

Well..of course it doesn't have nothing. Though, it doesn't have MUCH in the way of games you can really be that hyped up for. Tenchu 4 came out last year *at least the japanese version* and that was my main game on the wii. The conduit, I don't really understand but I do. Since I've played the modern pc, ps3, 360, and even the original xbox games, I can't really hype myself for a game that just looks good by wii standards. But when a game is pushing a portables limits, it does impress. It has something special to it. Hey, I can play this on the go.

But you bring the conduit to someones house and say, hey, look at this? Friend brings out crysis and says now LOOK at this instead.

If mad world makes it, I'll give it a shot. Just to see what its like. Wouldn't mind seeing another no more heroes this year, but I'm thinking one more year off. Nintendo just needs to do something worthwhile THEMSELVES instead of 3rd parties making it survive. A wii exclusive zelda game. The wii motion plus, a full zelda game, and some of the best presentation values on the wii? Why not? I don't see another true mario game coming out anytime soon on the wii. Well according to a massive Sony fanboy like hakanakumono, "significant" requires that it be released on a Playstation platform.

All four games you listed are the kind of games you would have looked at briefly on the PS2 or gamecube last generation before quickly finding the higher quality titles.

Oh really? I'm fine with admitting the 360 currently has a superior library to the PS3. This isn't because I'm too busy under sony's covers. This isn't because I hate nintendo. This is because their lineup is very disappointing.

Just so you know, I almost bought a wii until I looked at it's future lineup and couldn't find any upcoming games to justify the purchase.

Not interested in shooters. The graphics are hard to look at.

Title to look forward to, but hopefully lag wont be a problem this time. Overall, sleeper hit.

Sleeper hit. Not amazing but a good title to accompany better games in a library.

Rail shooter. Not that special.

God, are some of you guys serious? Not all those games look "amazing" but theres alot of fresh ideas in that list. Finally some new games and not sequels or a game that has anything to do with guns. I mean look at that RPG list, its massive and amazing. Although my Wii broke, i have to get another one because that list looks great imo.mexicangordo

Because I already have a 360, DS and still playing my GC and PS2 once in awhile. But mostly I'm catching up on 360 games, which imo, are far more interesting than anything on the Wii. But that's just me.

Actually for the whole of my Wii life, i have been interested in a few games, like Izuna, the dissapointing Zelda TP, little king story, fatal frame 4, i think that's it though, 4 games comparing to about 50+ on 360 and 10+ on PS3

Wii has almost nothing for me each year, that is a fact, and all its offerings have some terrible visuals for me that have seen how next gen games are on PS3/360 on a HDTV

You know it's bad when someone has to post a massive 3+ hour thread just to prove there are games on the system. Fragile and Fatal Frame IV are the only things that interest me. As I was scrolling down the list all I could do was shake my head in dissatisfaction. NAPK1NS

No one gives reasons why they are interesting either.

Cause fall of 08 has given wii haters plenty of ammunition to hate and until the Wii gets itself out of this funk the way its treated in sytem wars won't change any time soon. It could start with Mad World but last year started with NMH and despite that superb game the rest of the year was less than exciting. I think thats a pretty impressive list and you can put me on record as saying that 09 will be the year of the Wii.

you have to understand that most of those saying Wii has nothing fo 2009 are those who dont own a Wii and have no interest in the console and its games.. I dont have a Wii but seems like 2009 will definately be better than 2008 as regards games which is good news to all those Wii owners out there :)
