Yeah it will probably get mixed reviews at best. From some reviews I have seen (both critic and user) the game is a buggy mess right now. I am sure things can be ironed out, but this is pretty much what I expected.

Definitely like Fallout New Vegas, get rid of the bugs and its a great RPG.
There will be another patch in two weeks.
Hmm I saw some online reviews for it already. There were 7 ish positive about the game. Lots of bugs. But if bugs get fixed could be quite enjoyable. The horse being a pinball and your character getting stuck in the environment seem to be the biggest issues.
I feel like this is going to be one of those games that you pick up at some point in the future when you have half forgotten about it, and then proceed to have a good time with it, simply enjoying what is there.
75 on metacritic, most of the complaint seems to be with the heavy ammount of bugs, this potentially will become a cult classic if they can polish it out.
Will let this sit in the oven for another 6 months. then take a look.
Where the hell is Mount & Blade 2 already :(
Played about 30 minutes and uninstalled. The combat sucks. The animations are bad. Framerate tanks all the time. The story seemed like it would be good but there's just too much slog to go through to enjoy it. I doubt seriously they are going to fix the animations and combat.

As expected, 7. Looks like an interesting game, but likely bankrupting its developer.
it got to about 70k concurrent players on Steam today and remains the top seller.
that seems pretty healthy but we'll have to wait and see how the sales figures shake out
It's an over-ambitious game they couldn't afford to bug test, and here are the results. Just because you have the assets and planning, doesn't mean you're there yet.
The game seems like it needs some serious love and care over the next few months. The devs clearly worked hard, and their day-one patch does point to that, but it just shows that a lot more work is needed. When the bugs have been ironed out (mostly), i'll probably jump onboard.

If you do not like the save feature, you can mod it out. Maybe essential for the amount of bugs this game has right now.
I like it so far, playing it on the X, no bugs but I'm only about an hour in. Good voice acting and cut scenes, there is a persuasion mini-game of sorts that you engage in when you talk with some people.
Graphically it's not a looker and there are some low quality textures in some instances but overall the game looks good to me, I like the art style. I'm digging how it doesn't seem too complex overall so far, and I am intrigued by the characters and the story. I am not looking for a deep RPG with this game, and I just love this kind of setting.
Do they have system requirements yet? I'm curious to know if I can run it. I am really interested in it.

On Steamspy its current stats rank at almost 100k sold, I wonder how many copies on consoles have been sold so far
It doesn't have a rich rewarding story like Mass Effect or The Witcher..PASS
Actually it very much does. the storytelling is pretty reminiscent of The Witcher 3. its one of the best parts of the game
@NoodleFighter: To be fair, the game had 35,000 Kickstarter backers, so that would factor into the sales so far.

Game looks awfully boring
No, it isn't boring. Unless you think RPGs are about gaining extermination points to increase your level of violence.
I am going to hold off and see if any remaining bugs or glitches get scrubbed up. I got quite a bit on my plate, but the game looks interesting to me.
@texasgoldrush: It looks amazing. It should be a success in my opinion, just for the realism and historical accuracy alone. I hope these types of games catch on more. I was thinking of a Medievel England type game. Or one set in the time frame of Braveheart. That would be amazing as well. I would love to buy it, but just don't have the time. Maybe I'll game fly it.
For those that have played it, what's the stealth like? Is it possible to play the whole game like Skyrim, taking people out silently and undetected?
I'm still enjoying it, played it for a few hours, I don't mind it being rough around the edges, overall it's giving me what I was looking for. So far it has mostly been cinematics and dialogue choices. If you're looking for a lot of combat right off the bat you will be disappointed I think. I believe my next area is a big battle so I will get to experience more of the combat, but I thought it was OK during the sword fighting tutorial.
i was hoping this could be RPG having good gameplay. i guess i was wrong.
Who told you this ?

So reviewers drop points for technical issues, yet we saw PUBG getting 10/10 regardless of technical issues.

And look a Bethesda, they get a pass on bugs.

PracticallyUnplayable's Lagging Grounds. What a sorry state the industry is in.
