He is talking about the 2nd one.. And in the end it won't matter.. In a months or two times, you will be able to get the game cheaper through a merchant at amazon.

This is MW2. Make sure you check the links first. :P

Looks like good ol' Activision wants to raise the price of PC games...after all they've done lately, doesn't surprise me at all. I mean, why shouldn't they? This is going to sell incredibly well even at that price.

The $10 extra are usually a licensing fee to pay the console maker. However the PC doesn't require licensing, it doesn't make anysense why they would make PC users 59.99 bucks? If you haven't noticed, PC gamers arn't going to shell out 59.99 without getting their money's worth. :|

Smart move if you ask me. They know the game's going to be a hit and they know that PC users will shell out the extra $10 to play it. If they have consoles, then it shouldn't be too much of a shock.

It is when PC games have been 10 bucks cheaper this entire generation. Maybe I can understand boxed copies being 60 bucks, but if DD copies are 60 bucks you can bet I won't pay for it.

Activision strikes again! Seriously i hope they get whats coming to them soon (something bad). It doesnt matter too much because PC gamers are generally smarter than console gamers about these things. Activision will learn there lesson the hardway. Actually instead of pricing MW3 like the usual PC game, they would probably not even put it on the platform.

I would rather have none of their good games if it meant they would stop existing.

Well, if the DD copy is $60, then you have something to complain about.

Wow. Just wow. How incredibly low of Activision, and here I thought Microsoft was bad with the pricing of Halo 3 ODST. This is just pathetic, I know it's ten dollars more... but really now? Last time I've seen a launch PC game that didn't come with an accessory to cost that much was Half-Life 2 which was $55 at launch (could be wrong on that though).

Oh, boo-hoo. Now we'll have an Infinity Ward boycott coming up. Charging ten extra dollars or releasing a sequel a year after the original is apparently a crime against nature.

I'm going to guess that Activision or the retailers are just taking advantage of the popularity of the seires. The game is going for more than new games usually cost in the UK on several websites as well.

Oh be quiet, PC gamers will pirate this one way or another. People who would have legitimately bought this game in the first place will pay 10$ more.

Because they think people will buy it at that price, and they will. I don't like it, I didn't like seeing the hike on console software either. But more AAAs will follow if this succeeds. And MW2 is almost a sure bet.

You know this won't sell well, they will blame the pirates, and use it as an excuse to make more console games. Limey.

It makes sense to charge the ten extra dollars for the console games due to the licensing fees, but for this, they are just adding on ten dollars because they can. It's like charging 70 dollars for the console versions. But then again, Square Enix got away with it for their DS games, which are always 40 dollars, compared to the 20 to 35 dollar launch price every other game has.

The PC version is usually a better product anyway. Makes sense that it costs the same as the console version.

You haven't seen the COD Online rumors? http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3174797

They're going all out, trying to maximize profits before every other developer starts making games that a newborn baby can pick up and go 20-5. Do I blame them? Not really, but I think they are going too far.

There is no reason for them to think they are special and get to sell a $60 game on a PC where games have been $50 this entire gen.

Have fun missing out, boycotting it won't do squat just like the L4D2 boycott won't do anything. A few thousand people (who most of them will probably give in and by the game either way) doesn't matter to a company when the game will sell millions.

This will give incentive to a plethora of users to pirate the game. People pirated Spore just because of the disk protection, I can see a large amount pirating this game solely because of the ridiculous pricing.

Damn, paying a little bit extra for what will probably be one of the best games of the year I'm okay with, but paying for online when I already pay for online? You're spot on, they are going too far.

It's just a general statement. I'm a console gamer myself but I'm not gonna pretend we don't have small attention span in general. Most of my friends always ask "why do you play Halo 3, it came out in 2007" or ocassional when I play Gears 1 or some other old game, it's "wow welcome to 2006"

You see it all the time on System Wars. "lulz lemmings have nothing to play but Halo 3, a 2 year old game" or something else completely ignorant. Console gamers have this weird ideal where games have expiration dates.

Most PC gamers aren't stupid, I don't know a single PC gamer who has paid for DLC or a $60 game. Looks like the chances of selling 11 million copies in two months have just suffered a setback.

Actually I just see Cows saying that now because they have all the AAAE games finally coming out this year so they are bragging about new titles they get to play while Lemmings get a whole backlog of AAA games that apparently don't matter anymore (atleast to Cows). No offense, but that is just what I see. I still play many of my 360 titles from the past couple years and still enjoy them greatly.
