[QUOTE="nervmeister"]have the issues from the first one been solved this time around?Couth_The issues were no splitscreen, and lack of content. They have been adressed. That's why it's being hypedGlad to hear that. Have they taken care of the terrain glitches as well (where your car gets stopped dead or even crashes when running into a tiny stone)?

Spot on. The game might have been difficult but that didn't make it bad, it took skill but alot of people just didn't understand that skill.

Also annoying AI.

Skill pfft... Doesn't matter how much skill you have when the AI cheats to outrun you. You're better off just staying back until the final lap.
From what I've seen so far, it's pretty much Motorstorm 1 only in a tropical setting and with new vehicles. Other than that, what significant improvements have been made to the gameplay? And more importantly, have the issues from the first one been solved this time around?nervmeister
I loved the first motorstorm, but it did lack severely in content.
This time, there's double the tracks, more vehicles, and 4 player split screen, so you know they are aiming at its criticisms from its predecessor.
The core gameplay is more or less the same with minor additions, which is definitely not a bad thing. The first game got a 7.5 here, and an 8.9 at IGN... that's WITH the severe lack of content as well. It pretty much survived based on its gameplay.
I'm excited for it, that's for sure. I don't really think it's being hyped so much though. It only really gets brought up when someone brings up PURE.
Ah, I see. Guess I assumed it was being hyped since Pure was passionately being used as a vessel to downplay it.I'm excited for it, that's for sure. I don't really think it's being hyped so much though. It only really gets brought up when someone brings up PURE.

Also i have seen zero hype for this game.

I didn't like MS1 much but I know others did.
I don't see much hype for this game, but enjoy if it's what ya like.
why not get hyped... fans of the original game who loved it, are surely looking forward to MS2, so they have all the right to be hyped, seeing its got split-screen, more content and some visual upgrades...
i personally enjoyed MS1 and am keeping an eye on its sequel..
Improvements I can think off the top of my head:
1. Double the number of tracks
2. More vehicles
3. Four player offline split-screen
4. Much shorter loading times
5. Upgraded visuals
6. Ability to skip crash scenes
Oh yeah, also the first one was pretty damn good.
