Why is the PS2 and PSP outselling the 360 tell me why?

We have a winner. It's not just the price, but the selection of games.

The cheaper and bigger library only applies to PS2, PSP is a HANDHELD. That's like saying why is DS outselling PS3?

Anyway the PS2 will still sell because it's the most diverse and well marketed consoles of all time. It's also cheap meaning a lot more people are picking it up. 360 is a NEXT GENERATION console which is mainly aimed towards hardcore gamers. IF you take a look at the software sales 360's software sales are very good.

PSP's a handheld. And PS2 is more popular, so I wouldn't be surprised if it spreads out through word of mouth.

Yeah that's irrelevant as i was making the point in terms of comparing the two in the FIRST place. PSP hardware sales are good everywhere. The software sales are pathetic. It's becoming the system in which people hack to play old games including PS1. So in THAT respect it's very much worth buying a PSP.

i want a 360, very badly. i mean, c'mon, have you seen bioshock? that game is like an answer to metroid prime. and clive barker's jericho? man, don't get me started... however, i'm scared to death that it won't work or it'll break soon after i'd buy it. and, yeah, i know that they have great customer service and blah blah blah, but i just don't want to have to deal with that, you know? hell, i have some friends who have had to replace their 360s four times. FOUR. TIMES. isn't that ridiculous?

anywho, maybe thats the reason a lot of people aren't buying it. because as far as i'm concerned, the 360 would be a no-brainer purchase ifit didn't have such a reputation for dying so soon. but maybe i'm just listening to too many podcasts...

PS2is alot of cheaper, has a wide selection of games, a great time it isbundled up with a free game, still active of last generation.

seriously though it kinda says more about the 360 than those consoles.considering how big it's library of current and upcoming games is i thought it would've sold twice as much. Microsoft need to do a price cut before september to completely make the ps3 redundant in people's heads. Sony need to a price cut right about now and show us what we already know: the ps3's upcoming library is just good as the 360's if not better (including new Team ICO games (they've confirmed their working on something)and third party heavyweights).

Well really if 360 was going to do well it would be selling well by now. PS3 hasn't even got a post-launch holiday or a price cut so it could still very easily rebound. Wii sales will slow as the generation goes on, PS3's will increase massively as price goes down and games come out, and 360 is in a perfect position yet is still not selling and the situation won't get better. At the very end of this gen is probably going to be Wii on top with PS3 a close second and 360 a distant third. Lazy_Boy88

so what your saying is that the ps3s sales will start to increase once price goes down and games start coming out for it yet you fail mention the same thing for the xbox 360 or do you think that games will stop coming out for the 360 and it will always remain 400 dollars

psp had a price cut and i thuink alot of people are excited about some of the titles coming out for it. Excellent ports/remakes like dracula X and FFTactics as well as new games like jean D'arc and god of war. They're pretty dumb not to wait for the redesign thoughNorthlandMan

And yeah, MS really need to drop 360's price, and I think it's going to happen soon.
