Why is the wii getting bashed alot more latley? *Small wall of text*

First of all, I know the wii gets bashed each day, Every system does. But just latley there have been more threads about wii bashing. And more negative comments. Perhaps this is damage control because the wii surpassed 360 in sales(Or is really close and it is inevitable that it will)? Are the people that said "Bu bu but teh wii is a fad! It wil faiel!" Then people said "Bu bu bu teh wii is onley wining becuz its chaep" Then why did the gamecube Fail lat gen compared to the other systems, if the cheapest console wins? The current arguments are "Teh wii is for cazuels it dosnt cownt!!11!" "Bu bu bu teh wii isn't next gen" "Teh wii graficks are teh sux!"

1. Here is a list of some the hardcore games coming out for wii-

No more heroes,Project hammer, Super mario galaxy, Fire emblem, Super smash bros brawl, metroid prime 3, NitroBike, Disaster: Day of crisis, Mario kart wii, Zack and wiki, Resident evil: Umbrella chronicles. Those will keep the wii fans busy until the next hardcore games are announced.

2. The wii is next gen. The wii Is is the successor of the gamecube, Gamecube was a last gen console, the wii being its successor, makes it next gen. Get over it. Next gen does not mean Improved graphics.

3. It is true the wii graphics are inferior to ps3/360, but by any means they are not crappy. They are satisfactory enough for it to be the best selling console and for nintendo fans to have fun. Not amazing, just good enough. as the old saying goes, Gameplay>Graphics. The wii DEFINITELY has more graphical capabilities than Gamecube

I used to be a Nintendo fan. I wanted the "Revolution" to succeed and do well, that was early 2005. Then we all found out it was just a cheap, obsolete machine full of casual games, ports of older games, and more re-hashes. I never cared about sales that much though, I was an XBox supporter last gen, and even though it didn't come in first place in sales, I still consider that my personal favorite. So as a 360 supporter, sales are a mere bonus, the real treasure is the amazing software library, which the Wii doesn't have. People are used to a console selling good due to good games, and when Wii sells good with it's shallow shovelware crap, it certainly doesn't make people happy.

But really, your argument that the cheapest console doesn't always win.....show me exactly when there was a 350 dollar difference between ps2 and gamecube.Your rebuttal doesn'thold water because it's about HOW MUCH cheaper Wii is the than competition.

The only thing these screens show me is how much worse Wii still is than the other current gen consoles.

Who cares about graphics, it's the games that matter. And thats why the Wii is being bashed. The Wii doesn't hardly have any good games. And most of the good ones are games that are avaiable on older cheaper consoles(LoZ TP and RE4). The only good original Wii game i can think of thats good is Super Paper Mario and it was intened for the cube. And is one game really worth gettin a Wii over?

And for the rest of the year all we really have to look forward to is Super Smash Bros. Mario Galaxy and Metroid. Three games. Whoopy.

Look at all the sheep that love their wii. I have never met a wii hater outside of this forum. I bring my wii to parties and we have a blast. Or when im alone and have nothing to do, Happily play wii. And yes mario and zelda are VERY old frachises, but they still sell like hot cakes because they are loveable. Zelda and mario are clasics that will take a very long time to die. And if you dont care about sales and which console wins each gen, why are you on SW? And I havent heard the gamecube argument from that many other sheep. The wii appeals almost anyone, No matter Age, gender,casual,hardcore. Hardcore games take longer to devolop than causals, so there are less hardcore games than casuals.

Halo 3, Beautiful Katamari, Blue Dragon, Eternal Sanota, Mass Effect, Assasin's Creed, Virtua fighter 5, Call of Duty 4 and those are just the game I'm interested in alone.

In my opinion,

Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Metroid Prime 3, Fire Emblem Wii, Battallion Wars II, Super Paper Mario, and Zelda: TP are all worth playing. Some people might not, and that's fine, but that doesn't make them bad games.

I personally dont really like the Wii because it doesnt really have much going for it other than a different controller. You cant say the Wii has great or even equal graphics. It doesnt have enough power at times to run some games, and because of this the wii is loosing multiplats seen on all of the other consoles. You cant say it has the best online, or even a online service that really competes agaisnt even last-gen online services. You cant say that the Wii has overall best game library, because its lacking behind other systems total numbers of AAA, or AA games.

I personally think its kinda sad that Nintendo has turned their console into a system that is loaded with casual, and non-gaming games just to compete with other systems that are more dedicated to the fan bases that got them to where they are today.

I relize that some people like the Wii, but these are my specific reason why i kind of dislike the system as a whole.

I agree that Nintendo themselfs are still trying to make their core games, but wouldnt you rather see Nintendo working on their next big game isntead of spending time making a game like Wi-Fit. Wouldnt you want to see Nintendo as a company pushing 3rd party support to create great games, that you can say are some of the best games on the system, other than saying Nintendo is making all the great games, while 3rd party support is trying, but havnt really reached that level yet.
