Because the circle on the front is there to tell you that your Xbox 360 is broken?

Lems argue that the Xbox 360 is making money.  $75.00 for certain models.  Well this figure doesn't take into account marketing and other costs of business.  Now on top of that, MS has to pay people back to be satisfied and extend warranties.

I love the Service Champion idea!  How many die hard Lems have applied for the position?

Boy, I'm glad I'm not a console gamer...............

It's a media experience and you are in the middle of it. It's well rounded. It is made of rubber.

...it's probably because if MS had named it XBox2, they'd appear (in the eyes of the casual consumer) a step behind the PS3 - so, they nipped that in the bud and jumped right up there to 360. It's called marketing.

Casue Xbox 360 doesn't look inferior to PS3..... or... Wii?

Besides Xbox 2 just sounds lame.

it was named 360 by the ms marketting group to symbolize global gaming... (circle = world = 360)

read it in OXM.  it's a great idea.

I had heard that they originally wanted to call it the revolution, but Nintendo had the name trademarked. So they named it the 360 since we all know that 360 degrees in one revolution.
