Why is the Xbox 360 version of Dead Space 2 at full price?

The standard edition of Dead Space 2 for the PlayStation 3 comes with two full retail games on one Blu-ray disc: Dead Space 2 and the Move-compatible (not required) Dead Space: Extraction. GameSpot has admitted that the PlayStation 3 version of the game is the one to get. Which begs the question: Why is the Xbox 360 version at the full retail price? Shouldn't it be cheaper to compensate the lack of a full additional game? What are your thoughts on the matter?

Move is not required in order to play Extraction.

My thought is that DSE in the PS3 version adds value to PS3 version, does not take away value from the 360 version. Why is DS2 on PS3 the same price?

Why was the PS3 version of Black Ops full price? its only the 2nd crappiest port ever, and not to mention the timed exclusive maps for the 360.

Im not surprised in any shape or form, do not expect this to change unless economic theory is reversed and while I agree that its a boon I dont really see this being anything other then a crappy ace in the pocket card for the average one sided users on these boards.alextherussian

I wouldnt be surprised if Sony and EA cut a deal where EA gets to keep a bigger slice of the pie for each sale of DS2 PS3. If that is the case then it is also in EA's best interest for people with both consoles to pick up the PS3 version. The additional sales for the PS3 version should make up for the slight loss on Sony's part while also being more profitable for EA. This of course is just speculation but I don't think EA is just doing this to be nice to PS3 owners while making some 360 owners feel left out.

Because the 360 is more popular.

Actually, only the Limited Edition of the PS3 version of DS2 comes with Extraction, and the next batch of copies won't have it. Also, EA has a deal with Sony so they get more stuff.

It's a brand new console game that just released across all three platforms... why would it sell for less? The better question to ask is... WHY IS THE PC VERSION SIXTY DOLLARS INSTEAD OF FIFTY. /caps

why shouldnt? EA released Dead Space2 therefore people pay full price for that game, the PS3 is just getting an 'extra' (bonus) game...
