Why is there even a System War?

I mean, People who like Playstation will like the Playstation, People who like the Xbox will like the Xbox, people Who like the Wii will like the Wii. I dont understand it. I, myself have my prefrences and I am loyal to sony, I had a 360 and i didnt care for it, so I sold it to a friend who I new would.

If you spent less time bickering with the people who like the other systems then you could probably enjoy your own more. I swear its like the middle east in here. All these factions fightingfor causes that dont make any sense. None have the power to sway someone a certain way. each time you prove someone wrong it just angers them into a deeper loyalty.

I created a new account, my name was Anti Xbox. I was level 10, but rather than my name expressing a hatred for a console in general, I decided to have it reflect a certain game. I believe this game is surrounded by too much hyp and I am almost certain that hald of the games score will be carried by hype.

So I'm turning over a new leaf, Leaving Anti Xbox and Entering Pro Sony. there is a difference

System Wars exist because EVERY fanboy has to prove to himself that the system they bought is truly better than the rest.

This is a cognitive reaction to make themselves feel better about their decision. They are willing to do this at any cost, even if it means not acknowledging that 2+2 = 4.

As an example to this: I work in the Video Game Section at a local Toys R Us.

A Nintendo Wii fanboy walked in talking about the E3 Press Conferences. He was willing to set the world on fire just to prove that Nintendos Conference was "way better than Sony and Microsoft combined."

I stared at him for a good 10 seconds, then proceeded to laugh my *** off.
