I think he means something like not every PS3 owner ( well not every , you know what I mean ) has it like 360 owners have Halo.

My nephews out west don't have any Halo games. They have mostly sports games with their 360s. Of course, they spend a lot of their free time playing sports.
As for my other nephews with PS3s, only one has Uncharted 2. Another has KZ2 but not Uncharted 2. Again, both like sports games the most.

Yeah I understand, my brother has a 360 and the only exclusive he has is Gears, and then all sports game. Im just saying that of all the 360 owners I know, half of them have Halo. Of all the ps3 owners I know, about 10% have them and then the 360 owners never even heard of Uncharted while the PS3 owners all know Halo. Or something like this.... o.o.

I dunno. Perhaps the kids (well, some of them are young adults now) crave games with good bang for the buck. Sports games tend to have the most bang for the buck on consoles. Some of them played that version of BF2 on the PS2 and spent a lot of time online. Coming into this generation, none of them seem to particularly care for online FPS. I guess they too got turned off by juvenile crap*. It seems to be okay still playing sports games online.
*It is kind of weird considering my nephews like to talk trash and rub it in to me whenever I got owned in PC BF2.
I'd say it's pretty popular, since I've been playing matches online with people constantly since it came out, without any problems of finding players.
It's not popular...? Thats news to me. It is my favorite PS3 game and in my top 5 games of all-time.

Yeah i guess, sports games are good, not my type of thing though, only some of them, Idk why.. ;X
I hope whenever UC3 comes out it is so much popular and Sony spends more on advertising besides the Kevin Butler ones. Then maybe itll get more popular.
the visual style isn't 'cool' enough for mass market appeal
It's hard for teenage dudes to say "Nathan Drake is awesome. He's so handsome and witty" when there's COD out there.
It is really popular. If you mean that many also dislike it, I say its because they want to feel cool for disliking it or come up with lame reasons to dislike it haha. I can understand that it isnt some peoples type of game, but it is ALMOST perfect in everyway. The only thing I can say that could have been a bit better is the story formula as it was relatively similar to #1, but still good and enjoyable, so as long as the next one isnt completely formulaic and such it will be fine.

Personally, I was really disappointed with Uncharted 2. I thought the stealth game play at the beginning was really weak and the game generally lacked the charm the original had. Maybe it was because I played the original Uncharted with no expectations at all and was blown away by it... Uncharted 2 just didn't have the same spark.
It definitely is.... I don't even own a PS3, but I've played the first two hours at a friends and think it's fantastic. Ravensmash
all this time? Really? No ps3?

Yep, no PS3. If I got one though, UC2 would be the first game I got though.[QUOTE="NaveedLife"]

Hmmm I bought 1 because I was excited for 2, loved it more than I expected. Played 2 and it took everything that was great about the first and made it better. I guess to each his own.
No. 40K daily players(not online) isn't top. Although I love the game, it doesn't have the popularity of Call of Duty or Halo. It's probably one of the most played online gamr for ps3

I haven't beat the first UC, so I'm still waiting to get UC2. I have played my friends copy of UC2 and from what I've played of it, it is awesome! I don't want to buy it yet though, because I know I won't even finish the first one, and jump on into the second one. I think UC2 sold well, and I'm not sure about it being unpopular. Everyone I know that has a PS3 has this game in their library.
How awesome that game may be, it's not a game that interests me particulary. I will get it when the GOTY edition releases here in Europe.
PS3 owners are diverse people with that have interest in different genres. Uncharted 2 is one of the reasons to get a PS3, but certainly not the only one.
In contrary to 360 and Halo offcourse, you're pretty delusional to have a 360 and not like shooters.
its old news. every game on all game systems get hated on after its old. just look at wii everyone loved it in the first month of release then a few months later ppl stopped playing it and the bashing began...

Wasn't aware that Halo was on the PS3. :P
But yeah TC, where exactly did you get that sentiment from?
Was that really necessary? How awesome that game may be, it's not a game that interests me particulary. I will get it when the GOTY edition releases here in Europe.

The entire thread is rather unnecessary. I don't recognise you with the sig and avatar change :'( But yeah, Uncharted 2 is a great game....I can also think of many other games which are much less popular but also deserve praise (Alan Wake/Monday Night Combat, etc.)[QUOTE="Ravensmash"]Was that really necessary?

I mostly go by avatars since I actually usually have sigs turned off.
And yeah, lots of hidden gems out there. Uncharted 2 is hardly hidden or niche.
Most played exclusive game, I'm sure. Not overall though. It's probably one of the most played online gamr for ps3

Uncharted 2 is one of the most popular games on the system, and rightfully so.
