Why is vgchartz unreliable?

Just wondering. I've never even been to the site. But here on SW. Someone brings it up, then someone else is like "meh vgchartz lol" what makes it bad?

They estimate their numbers...which are usually way off.

People don't want to see the 360 outsell the PS3 all the time (in America).

Their numbers were proved radically wrong early in this generation, and they were a laughing stock ever since.

And they ajust their numbers once NPD and such get theirs out

At one point they had MGS4 as 2 million sold when it was at 4 million, nuff said really. Sometimes they're a good base to go off of, sometimes they're reliable, but sometimes they're not (and when they're not, they're usually WAY off for some reason).
