If Natal is all that its hyped up to be, why arent they showing it on games other than stupid wii-like games? I recently the ps3 wand on games like re5 and little big planet, why isnt microsoft showing it off for games like Halo or an RTS?

They have shown Burnout Paradise.

Yeah, and it handles worse than the controller version. That's not going to sell anyone but onlookers trying very hard to believe.
That's also not exclusive, so it's not going to help sell Natal.
You are right though, they did show it didn't they. It was shown. What a great showing, now we all know what Natal is, and it looks amazing, don't it?
How would you implement Halo with Natal?
All I see NATAL being used for is casual crap, the PS3 wand can do both hardcore and casual.
:)
Umm... because the real games aren't presentble yet? Natal games will be coming out with it's launch, in fall 2010. Games wouldn't present their stuff yet. However, as you've seen, there's tech demos for things deeper than waggle, primarily milo or for a more pure tech demo (rather than proof of concept demo) that demo which changes the avatar according to the player instantly.
And to the above poster, Halo won't use natal, at least not the shooting (forge could potentially). You'll create games for natal, not create natal around games. The games that will use natal don't exist yet.

Here are the developers so far that are interested in working with Natal from TGS 2009.
Rare, Activision Blizzard, Bethesda Softworks, Capcom, Disney Interactive, Electronic Arts, Konami, MTV Games, Namco Bandai, Sega, Square Enix, THQ and Ubisoft.
Yeah I'm sure all of those developers are mainly interested in using Natal for "caual crap" Gimme a break!
Because they don't need too.
People are going crazy THINKING about what it may one day do. M$ marketing is AMAZING with this product.
People are selling NATAL to themselves based on their own ideas. It certainly buy M$ time to cook something hopefully soon.

I don't know that too many people are really going to crazy over Natal. Certainly lemmings are, but is the average gamer out there even aware that it's in development? I'm very much on the fence about Natal and there are certainly a ton of others that like me, are on the fence.

Oh, I never mentioned a specified abount of people, I'm only referring to those people that are going crazy for Natal. It's impressive that ONE person can go crazy for Natal as we have all seen the same material, and so far nothing is impressive. Then we have the Wii hype from back in the day to learn from...I don't get it.

yeah, sega and ubisoft are a shadow of what they used to be....cows and lemmings, prepare for shovelware!
truthfully, i cant wait for natal to come out. I think itll be awesome, but im just afriad it wont be used for many awesome games (of course microsoft will make a few cool games), but i just want to see how it could work with shooters, rpgs, and action games. Ya the developers obviously have to reinvent the way the game is played, but i still want to see something more than ricochet.

Neither do I. Had they wanted to show off Natal working in core games they should have used a game with more complex controls than a racer. Then again, that'd give us:
A: standard controller play with nodding and yelling added. Urgh.....
B: 1-handed controller with flailing, nodding and yelling added. Double urgh, not to mention that it's now official how system warriors feel about using a controller with 1 hand.

This is not true. 1up had to control Burnout Paradise and said it handled better than with a controller. Why hasn't the wand showed off any good games? c what i did thar?tagyhag? RE5 and LBP are good games.
Natal is selling on potential, just imagine playing a game like Halo 3 on Natal, there you go I got you hyped for this trash. Don't mention it dude, lol.
[QUOTE="tagyhag"]Why hasn't the wand showed off any good games? c what i did thar?hoosier7? RE5 and LBP are good games. RE5 is not a good game (I'm comparing it to RE4) LBP is a fantastic game, but it is not a game made specifically for the wand (It's just being patched), and the wand is not revolutionizing the entire game. I meant games that were made just FOR the wand.

Oh, fair enough, just those games don't deserve to be called bad games, there does need to be at least a gameplay vid or a decent game for Natal and the Wand before the two can be compared really.
