Microsoft makes more money than Sony in the console war because they....... 1.) MS pay to put their XBOX icon on every new game commercial. Exp; MW2, Assasin's Creed 2, Brutal Legend, Guitar Hero, etc. In other words, Ad aggressive. You rarely see the PS3 icon in any commercial 2.) They charge for Online play. Only $5 a month, but a million users = Five million dollars every month YOU get what you pay for...btw its $3/month for me 3.) 54% 360 fail rate and banned consoles, so people have to go out and buy more 360. Which = more money for MS FAIL GAME INFORMER REFERENCE 4.) That's why MS makes more money than Sony 5.) There is a hint of fanboyism in this post. All unproven facts metal-movement

MS makes money off of each 360 sold, Live, Games, Accessories, Windows, & off of each Blu-ray disc being sold, because of their VC-1 codec.

Not to mention, they have tons more billions than Sony. TONS.

We have known this. Your "facts" aren't very good, but it is true. Sony STILL doesn't even make a profit off of the PS3.

Not to mention that Sony's gaming division is now at a $5 Billion loss.

1. The three year warranty lessens the "rebuy" that is mentioned. None of us really have numbers but logic would dictate that if you have a warranty on a product, you dont buy a new one when it breaks....

2. MS advertising is not really a point. Sony advertises, as does Nintendo. Which campaigns are more effective is highly debatable.

3. MS make money on XBL, cant be argued. Its not all profit but a reasonably large chunk obviously would be....

4. Dont make points if theyre not points.

The latest reports have the 360 failure rate at about 24% for all consoles sold (Launch models to the current Jasper models)

The link also states that the Jasper model sports a failure rate of less than 4 percent.

So, can we officially stop using the Game Informer survey as proof? :)
