Why Microsoft really is trying to win the GTA IV battle ?

This is a little bit weird that Microsoft is really trying to win the GTA IV battle ! LOL Absolutely there is something that Microsoft wants to cover with these candies ( Free DLC, DLC, winning 360 elite and etc ). I mean, look at Sony, they are relax.

This is what I think

GTA IV is gonna run and look better on the PS3 so Microsoft wants to milk people by DLC and those kind of stuff.

Is this because they want to sell more consoles ? They already paid 50mil, lol can they really sell Xnumber of 360s to make up the 50 million and maybe a little bit benefit ? Why Sony doesn't do anything ?

And MS makes money off games sold, not the consoles.

PS3 doesnt have those problems except in ported games. there were 23,000 soldiers at a screen and FPS was about 45 ( talking about Lair )

Because they are trying to keep expectations low....really low. Like selling only 7 copies total low. So that when they sell 9 copies total they can say...hey look at us we kicked butt!!!

yeh i know it will be the same, hell if it wasnt for the DLC i would get it for my PS3, but if it wasnt for the ps3 i would be playing this masterpiece by now.

Doesn't really matter which one was to blame. I have other games to hold me over till then. DLC in one game was not enough for me to buy a 360 and since its on the PS3 I don't care. ( and I refuse to pay more for what should have been in the game anyway. 60 bucks is enough)

But yeah. M$ is gonna advertise the **** out of this title. They want it to be known that GTA 4 = 360 and thats a good plan.

They will probably even have the best sells seeing as the Japanese really don't like these types of games.

It basically comes down to speculating about any and everything to minimalize the effect of the exclusive DLC.

GTA series have been the best selling franchise on the PS2. It even got strong sales in Japan, too. With GTA4 being non-exclusive, it is now time for Xbox to slowly take market share from the Playstation bandname. Last gen, the PS2 outsold the Xbox 1 by a ratio of nearly 5:1. This time around, the sales of each Xbox 360 and PS3 are almost identical. What happened to that 5:1 sales lead, Sony?

I would be surprised if the Xbox 360 version wasn't the best . Since Saints Row kinda gave Rockstar a good refernce point to start there game from.

He's saying that the 360 is the lead development platform, meaning that Rockstar is making the game first on 360, and then moving it over to the PS3. That's what lead development platform means.

Nothing but assumptions and speculation in your post.

In terms of the DLC, well, forget the DLC because Sony could've had complete (or at least timed) exclusivity to GTA 4 from the start but they waited too long to snap it up and now, it's biting them in the ass because the 360 version, with its DLC looming on the horizon is that much more appealing.

As far as GTA 4 running and looking better on the PS3, I'd like to see some facts to back that one up, especially since all of the times the game has been seen running in real time has been on the Xbox 360.
