Tes, wii is weaker, anyone who expected more has NOT checked even a single fact sheet out. And yet, most people who buy a wii are probably perfeclty aware that it's a gen older, and don't care about it. And BTW, wii's online library is growing rather large this holiday season. It only just started a couple weeks ago, so stop complaining about only 1 decent online title atm. Things like guitar hero are not getting feature-less ports, they're getting every inch of the content every other version is getting.

I originally got into video games through Pokemon. I thought it would be nice to get a game system, and i wanted the one with Pokemon on it. So i got the Nintendo system and enjoyed the few titles that came out for it. I bought a PS2 to try out some of the other systems on the market. That never really caught on, i guess i bought one too late in the consoles lifetime..... Soon thereafter the next gen systems were announced. I decided that i would try for the PS3. one and a half years later i hapily went Home with my PS3. At the time i was contemplating buying a Wii along side my PS3, but they were sold out. A few months later Nintendo discontinued the gamecube. I lost all faith in Nintendo, first with the decision to make a weak system, then to discontinue the 'cube. That is my story of why i will never buy a Wii. :(snorlaxmaster

As people have already pointed out, your story lacks any semblance of logic. You are mad at the Wii because the GC got cancelled? You should be happy the GC lasted as long as it did with such massive game droughts and poor sales. I have a GC and bought a Wii, and despite the lack of games I like for the Wii, I know there is more chance for future titles than the GC ever saw simply due to the drastically improved sales of the Wii. The WIi is killing the GC in sales.

But then you mention buying the PS3 because you jumped on the PS2 late? What? I'm envious you could afford a PS3 (or even a 360) since I can only afford the Wii right now. But the PS2 still has the biggest and most diverse game library in the history of gaming. How can you say that jumping on the PS2 bandwagon late was a bad thing. Most of the biggest titles are now dirt cheap! So many great games for a fraction of the price us early adopters paid.

And it is common knowledge that consoles come out roughly every 5 years or so. The PS2 has had the longest life of 6 years before their next gen replacement came out. So I fail to see your side of things at all. If you simply don't like the underpowered wii, then that is fine. That's your opinion and you are entitled to it. But to say that it's because the GC is discontinued is extremely ignorant of how the gaming industry works, and of how poorly the GC really did.

I think your list is easily beaten by just one game from his list meaning either gears of war or elder scrolls kills your entire list alone. Why would I play RE4 on wii when I can easly play it on my PC or PS2. There are no other games that interest me on your list other then RE4 so no point in me getting a wii.

How can he possibly be a cow when he is mad at nintendo for discontinuing the Gamecube. Not that your point about RE4 being an old game isn't a valid one, but the fact that you say there's no reason to play the Wii version if you have the others just shows you've never played it. I've talked to other people like myself who own both the Wii version and either the GC or PS2 version, and everyone agrees that the Wii version is like a renaissance for the game. Same levels? Yes. Enemies? Yes. Puzzles? Yup. Same control? No. Not even close. The addition of aiming withthe Wii remote makes the game possibly 10x more fun than the other versions, and in my book, makes it worth dropping $30 for, even if you have a previous version of the game. It's that fantastic.
