well now look at them, i dont think anyone will be happy in the future when the new systems come out. where do you go from the wii, you cant go back to a normal system, cause then it looks like all their potential went into the wii. they have to keep "revolutionizing" the way we play games. and they might make something really stupid and screw it all up. im not bashing the wii, but seriously where do you go from that.

They go the same path everyone else is doing right now:  Better hardware.

On the other hand, they might start unifying their portable and console units some more.  You know, turn the DS into a controller in additon to having the Wiimote.

The console after the Wii will have a control similar, if not the same, with HD Graphics. It happens with all the consoles from nintendo

NES was the innovative console

SNES - added onto it

N64 - Innovative Console

Gamecube - Added onto it

Wii - Innovative console

I have no clue, but it better be as fun as the wiimote. Wii pretty much got me into casual gaming again (since the SNES) and if they screw up I'm out again.

but that looks like the wii was all they could think of, they wouldn't get as much credit for going back to the regular controller. unless they revolutionize the way we game so much they would be re-revolutionizing they way we game by going back to the controller lol

I can see them doing a gamepad with good motion sensing- something with the Wiimote's power and ease of use but the GCN controller's ergonomics and comfort.  Like a sixais, but actually good.

NES was the innovative console (I don't see how it was so innvovative, it just had good games, same as master system did.

SNES - added onto it - better graphics than nes

N64 - Innovative Console - better graphics than snes

Gamecube - Added onto it - better graphics than N64

Wii - Innovative console - worser graphics than gamecube (if not the same) +gimmick-mote

I don't see where nintendo could go with there new gen console in 5 years time... maybe make another gimmick? or improve there current gimmick(wiimote) even though theres not much to improve on.  Theres only so many times you can make a great mario or zelda game with wii controlls until you find out how repetative it's getting... Sooo the only other thing they could improve on is graphics and pyshics.

Nintendo didn't mess up with the wii.

It's by far the best selling console, people enjoy it, I don't see whats wrong with that.

We'll see, but it's the first step in motion based control. Who knows what the next one will be? We're on a path to virtual reality and more immersive experiences and i cant wait
