In a generation where it is just retarded to own both a ps3 and a 360, the nintendo Wii fits right in there as a perfect second console. Realistically the ps3 and 360 are both getting 90% of the same games. Who has better multiplayer, graphics, framerates, controllers? Those questions...in the end of it all are just splitting hairs, its the same game. However the Wii is a perfect companion to a primary console because it has some unique titles to call its own. SSBB, Galaxy, Metroid, Zelda......If you are a respectible gamer then im sure some part of you wants to play these games.. and see what good old mario is up to these days. This is by no means saying that a Wii is here to pwn a ps3 or 360. Its obvious that it cant do that in terms of just sheer games. Its a nintendo system....i think after n64 and certainly after gamecube... we all realized that nintendo might become its best if it just ran paralell to the mainstream and did its own thing. Its even priced according to a secondary system. The Wii has different goals and aspirations than the 360 and ps3 which pretty much are only in competition with eachother.

Lets say that a 360 was a brand new Cadillac, All the nintendo wii is, is a set of 24" rims and a bumpin stereo system that makes the caddy better.

I like that analogy.

Sholvelware games, crap sound in prologic with no dolby digital, weak in every aspect as far as games and even in its only strong point its weak with plenty of Wiik games being loose to control:

Why Nintendo Wii owns the garbage can.

Fixed it for ya.

I think if you buy it as a secondary console, you will be pleasantly surprised in the next couple of years. Your whole argument hinges on the fact that the wii is a nintendo console destined to miss out on games just like the n64 or the gamecube did. The wii will get more support than those previous nintendo consoles

That seems to be the opinion of a lot of people. Didn't you enjoy gaming last gen? Was it really so bad? So once a fancier new tech comes out the old tech is garbage? I never thought so. I can have fun with games from all gens.

Itseems that people have the opinion of something like "I tried this new, better stuff, and now I can't go back". I think if you go through life like that, always having to have the absolute state of the art of everything, you are going to miss out on a lot.I would also say that you're never going to be really happy with anything you have.

That is what the wii represents: It's got this great new, fun way to play games, but the processors are kind of old.

Unless of course you dont like the wii because of its current game library, in which case, fair enough. The wii's current library suffers from the console's youth, and I would suggest people wait if they're not sure.

Sorry i just disagree i was so excited about getting my wii then when i got it i was like wow this is awesome but then a few weeks later i hadn't played it more than about 3 times since day i got it and was borerd already so i traded it in and bought a 360. The games are just to childish and in my opinion Nintendo has always been second best i dont rly care about mario or metroid id just prefer gears and rainbow six and such but thats just me.

That sounds about right. It's not even worthy as a second console. It was next to my 360 for a while but I never touched it, now it's sitting in the box waiting to be sold on eBay as soon as auction prices jack up during the holidays.
