I wonder that also. No hype, great reviews, decent sales, and sequel to the biggest PC franchise ever and no talk... Odd...enterawesome
It doesn't really matter if it's the sims or starcraft, as long as it's not Crysis, or some other graphics leaders in the future, system wars won't care.

It's another Sims game nothing personal against those who actually like to play the things, my nieces in middle and high school love tp play sims games.
but all I can think of is eww and I am glad they were not mentioned to much - if they were brought up at all I missed it:P
cant you just install it on both comps? it has no drm.I have never played a sims game, but isn't it a multiplayer online game? If so, would it allow us to play together? I know any other game I tried to do that with wouldn't allow it.[QUOTE="TheGreatOutdoor"]
I plan on picking up two copies for me and my girl to play together once the price drops more.

The Sims 3 didn't deserve its 9.0. Thats for sure.Soulja_WestI have to disagree. I was a fan of the first, hated the second and all the expansion packs for both, but this really brought the series back to a good position. Great game so far, really having fun with it.
It's a "game" for schoolgirls and housewives who like soap operas. Instead of watching a pixel person clean his house I'd rather clean my own one.Its a great game but noone ever talks about it...what is that all about?

1) Console gamers can't bash the game because there isn't anything on consoles even remotely similar to it that they could claim as being better.
2) It's perfect, so there's no discussion needed.

SamiRDuranYou surely didn't play The Sims when I was on diapers because that was 29 years ago. So the game is probably not only appealing to schoolgirls and housewives but also to older people who like their games with a slower pace. I assume that you are at least 50. Otherwise your diapers comment would seem pretty ridiculous. My point still stands, I'd rather clean my own house than watch pixel persons clean theirs.

Nobody likes monotony in their games, true, but the point of the Sims is to push your characters to ridiculous extremes, rather than have them take out the garbage. Check out this as an example.

Great game so far, really having fun with it. The Sims 3 is missing alot of things that where in the Sims 2. EA is making you pay for items that should be in the game to begin with.[QUOTE="Soulja_West"]The Sims 3 didn't deserve its 9.0. Thats for sure.Sully28

I guess if you play the game that way you may have a point. I fortunately don't play the game that way. The Sims series is more than cleaning the house, go to the bathroom, etc... It is also a creative tool that allows you to tell a story through pictures or making movies with the in-game movie editor. Its a great game but noone ever talks about it...what is that all about?

You can make anything from a music video, to a scary movie and anything in between. You can also create custom content and mods to further enhance your experience. The Sims series is a great tool for people to express themselves creatively.
