The ps3 is a good system but come on. This is a serious blow. The 360 clearly has the better games now. The ps3 has a few exclusives and a bluray player. It's not worth the extra money.
Other than MGS4 and Blu-ray...there aren't all that many reasons. I don't think there will be much this year either, although Little Big Planet looks like a buy for me. In 09 we will see if Killzone 2 will deliver or not, if Infamous is any good, and hopefully the release of God of War 3 and/or Team Ico's next game. All of these things would be solid reasons, but for the most part I don't feel like my PS3 has delivered what it was supposed to (other than MGS4).

I'm not knocking the ps3. It still does have good games and is a good system. But head 2 head with the 360 its advantage is really not there. It costs more and you arent getting more bang for your buck. The 360 has better games like gears and halo, bioware, rare, valve, many other exclusives like pgr, forza, fable, too human. Why pay more for a system that really isn't better? FF and MGS were the main things that gave the ps3 an advantage if you thought that way. Me personally I thought they were pretty equal and this just tosses things in the 360's favor and just reaffirms my purchase. I was on the fence if i should go out and buy a ps3 to play these games, but now im perfectly happy with ym 360 and think i have the better system for sure. I'm not going to spend $500 just to play mgs and a few exclusives that really arent that great. I'll spend less and get better games. There is not one game on the ps3 where im like i really have to have that game.
Plus did anyone see how good FF looks on the 360? This was a game that was developed specifically for the ps3 and it looks awesome. Where is this graphics advantage that the ps3 has? Supposedly FF couldnt be done on the 360 and apparently it can.

see this is based on opinion, I own a 360 and own bioshock, halo1,2,3, ME,GeoW and a hand full of others. I still play my PS3 every day wile my 360 gets used once or twice a week for GH/RB. If you enjoy your system, that great!, but to discredit the PS3 from the sidelines is a bit... ehhh.
I have a few friends who own a PS3, Wii and PC and not an xbox because 95% of xbox games come out on PC sooner or later. PS3 still has a lot of fun exclusives, and Wii has mario.
