I want to buy HL2, but... my pc is just not from this time, it's a pc made by dinosaurs :( it's ridiculous how this crappy pc won't run a game that old... and great, I wanna play all the mods I've seen :cry:

I don't like to have to spend a few thousand on a computer to play those games though.  But that's just me.  Just throwin' it out there.

It'll cost you far less than "a few thousand" to play half-life on a computer. My computer is positively low-end by today's standards, but I can still play Half-Life 2 will full settings at a 1280x720 resolution.

Even freakin' graphics cards can run Source games! You could probally build a PC that can run it cheaper than the Wii!

Oh, I thought there was more to the argument than just playing Half-Life.  My fault:).  And yeah, I really do want to play HL2.  I just dont know exactly what's inside my computer, but it's fairly new, so it should be able to run something.  My fault on that post.

My dilemma is that i can play half life 2 but upcoming next gen games out out of my computer's league.

Valve makes some interestingly scalable engines :D 

I can't seem to find many of these games.

Stop listing mods for Half-Life 2 where there is so much great games out there on the PC. I'm really sick of fellow PC users always pasting mods here, mods there - fine we have mods, but we have games that are 10 times better as those mods and to be honest with you, more as half of the mods on the PC are complete trash, once in a while you stumble upon one that is great. 

I can't seem to find many of these games.
