Why pc has so much less amazing looking games than consoles ?

One would expect that pc with the most powerfull by far hardware, have the best looking games, but instead it has only one so far, called Crysis

When will it have games looking as good as Mass Effect, FF13, Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, Gears of War etc ? Nearly ALL console games i want look from amazing to absolutly stunning, they are nearly 30, when i can only think of a very few pc ones that look any good, also the best looking ones on pc are for 360 too most of the time

What is wrong with pc developers ? Are they too lazy or something, or are pc standards so low and games look any good only when they develop them for console too with only a very few exceptions ?

I counted 4 games that look next gen IN ALL THOSE !!! You 1000% proved my point, so many games, so bad quality of graphics in 99% of them ....

I have to admit, the non 3d adventures look LOVELY though, a huge miss from consoles

You do the following -go the the store and buy Flight Simulator X -go back home and install it -go tro oner of numerous FS fansites and downlad the texture packs -install it -run the game after those 5 steps you get : amazing? yes. And no console from this gen will ever be able to handle that, even in 5 years when devs will be squeezing every last drop of juice from 360 and ps3 those consoles won't be able to handle that.AdrianWerner

Of course pc does have some games to rival consoles in distant future, but that is the point, all that power for nothing yet, kotor 3 will be on 360 too, and a Dragon Age spin off is confirmed for PS3 or 360, as for Witcher, no it does not look next gen at all

I agree Crysis will own Halo 3 in graphics (not gameplay of course), but still we DO NOT know how Halo 3 looks in reality

As for ...Diablo 3 .... stop playing MMOPRG's, if ALL gamers stop wasting time on crap MMORPG's, then maybe just maybe they go back to making real games like Diablo 3 and Warcraft, for now they will stop making games other than WOW upgrades, just forget Diablo 3 or anything else, pc gaming just destroyed chaces for many good rpg's with the million MMORPG's garbages coming out all the time

I swear to you, the time a RPG comes and you can fly on a dragon, overlooking a castle in that detailed ground, then go down and attack it, i will SMASH MY 360 !!!

Most PC games are tailored to work on PCs that were made two and three years ago so of course alot of the games don't compare to console games now.InfamousC
