Who said it does?? i own a DS Lite and havent touched it for months now ( planning on sellig it soon) nothing it got intrest me excpt for the upcoming pokemon white. its all about openions to be honest. i enjoy the PSP games
I enjoy PSP games more than the NDS, but that is a matter of personal preference. The amount of piracy on the PSP drove developers from it. The NDS doesn't have a big a problem with that, which has contributed to it having a bigger library. The NDS also has games that appeal to a wider audience, much like the Wii has games that appeal to a wider audience.

Im pretty sure DS piracy problem is pretty bad...probably not at bad as PSP but still pretty significant. The DS has better games because its cheaper to make games for and theres a higher install base so better sales for games. Simple as that. Not to mention the number one game developer in the world makes games for it.I enjoy PSP games more than the NDS, but that is a matter of personal preference. Who says it does-besides, of course, the rabid base of DS fanboys who have never touched a PSP in their lives?
What they should be saying is that the NDS has MORE good games, not neccessarily BETTER games. The PSP has its own library of hits, and it's a perfectly respectable platform.
Fanboy protection: I own both consoles. Okay? Okay.

Nope, he's right.
You can't say you like the PSP more than the DS here because you get flamed to death.
Since the only fair way to decide this is to put our own opinions to the side and let some other method do it for us, we have 3 options: 1. Lets sales speak for us, which, the DS has by far better selling games. 2. Exclusives, Which the DS has better selling and far more of. 3. Scores, which the DS has far better scoring, and many more better scoring games then the PSP. VideoGameGuyWhile you could argue that the library is better through review scores, it still doesn't matter if those games don't appeal to you in the first place. While the Wii technically has a worse library if you compare it with the PS3/360 reviews, that doesn't mean that I'm suddenly going to rush out and purchase a PS3/360.

Based on pure gaming I enjoy the DS more so I guess i'm in the minority here. The base reason I would say it's better for gaming than the PSP is because for all but a handful of games the PSP has taken games and degraded the quality to get them onto a handheld. The DS on the other hand has way to many games that feel best on the DS over any other platform. If I had to give some examples I'd say:
5 phoenix wright games, 3 castlevania, 2 advanace war, 1 fire emblem, Hotel Dusk, 2 etrian Odyssey, 2 Professor Layton, Knights in the Nightmare and then all the Nintendo stuff that is exclusive to it of course. When I play the PSP (again all but a handful of games) I feel like what i'm playing is on other systems and done better so i'm not inclind to want to continue playing it. The DS games in my opinion are "made" for the system, the PSP games for the most part are lowered in quality and ported to the system. Couple that with the fact the the DS stylus control is far better than the PSP nub which is junk in my opinion. There are a lot of games on the DS were the stylus becomes an extension of the game and just feels right, I honestly didn't have that feeling with the PSP games and was left wanting a full controller.
I guess i'm biased because I own 3 NDS with 91 games, but at the end of the day I have to acknoweledge that the only reason I own a NDS and not a PSP is because for the 10 times I've played the PSP system it hasn't grabbed my attention enough to want to buy one. Yes i've looked and have found 5 to 7 games that I personally would want (and these have almost made me buy one) but that's really it.
I'd also throw in that of my 91 games I have only 10 to 20 (tops) that are games I'd do with out if I were starting over.
meh, theyre close in quality tbh with you but yea I prbobably would have to say i Like my DS a tinny bit more then my PSP as far as games go, just seem to spend a lot more time on it. ALthough I must admit Prinny: Can I really be the hero? is one of the most epic games. like ever :P
If you going by opinion than you would be correct, well who am I to say you would not be. If your going by scores according to Gamerankings than you would be far off. When it comes to games systems this year the PSP has the lowest percent of good games. In fact the DS almost doubles the percent of good games on the PSP.meh, theyre close in quality tbh dragonfly110

Peace Walker makes that irrelevant :P.
Peace Walker makes that irrelevant :P.I am broke right now so I have not played that or DQ9. I want them both badly. Don't know which of the two I will get over the other. I enjoy MGS and DQ9. The only reason I might wait out MGS is because they normally go down in price quicker. Plus it would be nice if they put it on the PS3. Then again I really want to play it. Guess I will see when I get paid on the 15th.WasntAvailable
OBJECTION! People don't think NDS has better games than the PSP, they KNOW that for a fact! /coffee.
^Thats why.

Difficult to say. If it were a matter of length, I've actually put 70 hours in to Peace Walker and I havn't finished it. Price was never an issue for me. PSP games are cheap over here even on release. I doubt they would put it on PS3 because they would have to change the entire game in order for it to work on the console. I don't know about DQ9 though, I didn't even think it was out yet.

Now THIS is either trolling or stupid ignorance. http://www.metacritic.com/games/ds/scores/http://www.metacritic.com/games/psp/scores/ More AAAs, AAs, and As. Easily. Zelda, Pokemon, FINAL FANTASY (yes, the DS has FF too), Dragon Quest, Mario & Luigi RPGs, New Super Mario Bros. Professor Layton, Shin Megami Tensei, Metroid Prime Hunters, Advance Wars, TWEY... it has way more than the PSP.i had both systems and thats just not true at all, your trolling, psp has far better games imo. resistance, metal gear solid, final fantasy, mlb the show, madden, nba, and tons more, compare that to the best nds games..... mario kart?

A game that ranks AA on Metacritic makes the DS, which has 7 AAA and about 15 higher rated, insignificant?[QUOTE="WasntAvailable"][QUOTE="HarlockJC"] If you going by opinion than you would be correct, well who am I to say you would not be. A game that ranks AA on Metacritic makes the DS, which has 7 AAA and about 15 higher rated, insignificant? While I was joking, of all the handheld games I've played Peace Walker was the best. I own both a DS and PSP, and I have played a lot of these "AAA" games. I have no idea how it only ranked AA to be honest.
Purely a subjective matters, but basically the gaming library of the Nintendo DS just appeal to me more and there is a greater variety of games available to me compare to those that are found on the PSP. Not to mention there is also more choices to choose from since the number of titles on the DS seem to be more abundant.

A game that ranks AA on Metacritic makes the DS, which has 7 AAA and about 15 higher rated, insignificant? You do realize that the game on DS is significantly different than the games on PSP right? DS has a high saturation of JRPGs which doesn't appeal to everyone. So some poeple can look at DS and thinks there's absolutely no game for them.Zelda, Okamiden, FF, Crono Trigger?
Definatly my most exiting ones
As for 3DS, that has all DS games and OOT remake, 3D and next gen visuals, well, i cant stop drooling over that one
PSP2 would have to perform a true miracle to make me even think of buying it over 3DS
how do you want to look at it? DS has more games of higher quality the the psp. the games appeal to more of a wider audience. they have much variety. they are not dumb down ports of ps2 games. the main consensus is the ds is the better handheld theres no point of even bringing this back up again

this, i'm selling it soon as well
I have had a PSP and now a DS since my PSP broke. I can tell you that my PSP appealed to me much more than my DS. Honestly, scores don't mean anything and are just opinions of a few people. Play what you like and don't bother reading reviews since they are all just opinions.
