Why PS3 still is third place

599 dollars. Former exclusives gone multiplatform. Poor exclusives like Lair and Haze. Unconvincing new IPs. Delay Turismo 5. Worse multiplatform games. Oh my goodness. i think I can speak for everyone when I say who cares??? Even if the PS3 was in third why the hell does that matter to me at all?

If this was in 2007 then yes, I'd agree with you.

However, the PS3 is doing quite well. Maybe not outselling it's competition, but I think it's upcoming library speaks for itself.

2) Poor exclusives? Compared to say....almost 'no exclusives' for the 360?

Its descriminates against people due to level. It would be better if people with under 1000 post or under level 10-15 were on probation and subject to harsher enforcement of the TOU. But simply saying don't post a thread cause you don't come here much or you're new is not fair.

If I included them I would've put 360 -> DS ------> PSP. That's how much I enjoyed the handhelds so far.

i agree with some of this. the price really hurt the ps3 when it came out. Blu-ray (although great) was not necessary. I think the biggest thing that hurt the ps3 is just the fact it didnt beat the 360 to the market. i think they held on to the ps2 for just a little too long when they knew the 360 was coming out. they just assumed that the public would buy it regardless of when it came out just because it was sony. i dont hate the ps3 and i dont hate the 360. they are both great platforms. i think the biggest reason why ps3 is in third place is the fact that the 360 and ps3 are almost the same. you can nitpick about PSN vs LIVE, or blu-ray vs no blu-ray, or cross game chat vs no cross game chat, but the fact of the matter is both systems are nearly identical in power and experience. therefore, most of the people just bought the cheaper system, which is the 360.

Because of Sony gaming division this gen and there are other better and cheaper options this gen.

Since the Slim launched it has been selling just fine. It's closed the gap a lot with the 360 since last year. And if you came to these forums about a year and a half ago, everyone would be trashing the PS3. Now, it seems the 360 catches the most flak around here for MS's poor decisions
