AC comes out Tuesday. Galaxy comes out Tuesday.

How come we've seen so many more reviews for Galaxy than for AC?

Is it because Ubisoft is trying to prevent negative early reviews from hurting sales?

Discuss.

Its very possible. Maybe they are trying to avoid the SMG hype? Or maybe its just not all that. Time will tell.

Normally if a company gets a copy early if they are going to post a review it has to get a higher score if not then they have to wait after the street date. Same thing happened with Madden that why Gamespot posted their review latter. That even if the company gave out ealry copys to be reviewed a number of companies do not.

edit- I could be wrong about the street date thing with Madden. I tryed to find the link that said that. But I could not find it.

maybe because the score of smg is more important to the hardcore gamer community and fanboys than ac's score?

I agree with your statement that Galaxy is more hardcore than AC.

i didn't meant that, i meant that smg is more vital than ac.

i mean, if smg flopped all the sheep would likely leave gs, but if ac flops it wouldn't matter that much, maybe to just a small part of gs.

Gamespot could care less about System Wars making fanboys happy would have nothing to do with it.

Seeing as how mario galaxy has been finished for weeks and Assasins Creed has just went gold. Also, Mario Galaxy isnt as long a game.

Reviews suggest Galaxy is about a 15-20 hour game, if you're not going for 100% completion.

If you look at the early reviews of AC, they state it is about a 15-20 hour game, if you're not going for 100% completion.

That's stupid because everyone knows SMG will be good and sheep would buy it if it scored a 5 anyways. AC is something that could be amazing or mediocre...... need some reviews to know before buying it.

That would hardly explain why IGN, Eurogamer, etc. don't have early reviews.

Question, if you made a crap game, would you send out lots of early copies to everyone in the gaming media, or would you hold them back?

So much to do, so little time

It's hard to put the sheer size and brilliance of Assassin's Creed into words. It is an epic game that you have to experience for yourself. I will caution that the game is not for the impatient or the faint of heart. While you can plow through the main storyline in under 20 hours, to truly get every single last shred of gaming goodness, you will probably have to put in twice that number. The enormity of the game will probably turn off gamers expecting a fast-paced action title but remember that an assassin's greatest tool is patience. Approach this game with that frame of mind and you will be rewarded with one of the best gaming experiences around.--Todd Melick"

[QUOTE="kevy619"]Seeing as how mario galaxy has been finished for weeks and Assasins Creed has just went gold. Also, Mario Galaxy isnt as long a game.kevy619

Reviews suggest Galaxy is about a 15-20 hour game, if you're not going for 100% completion.

If you look at the early reviews of AC, they state it is about a 15-20 hour game, if you're not going for 100% completion.

correct celinedion, ac is a 20-40 hour game. Theres alot of stuff to do, and its very open-ended.

Uh Mario Galaxy is a 15-20 hour game if you just beat it with 60 stars. Hmm 60 stars=15-20 hrs so that 120 stars=30-40 hours. Not to mention the neat unlockable you get after getting 120 stars.

AC comes out Tuesday. Galaxy comes out Tuesday.

How come we've seen so many more reviews for Galaxy than for AC?

Is it because Ubisoft is trying to prevent negative early reviews from hurting sales?

Discuss.

:D

CelineDion

All the reviewers are only at 85 stars... Don't worry. Once they beat Galaxy a few times they'll eventually find the time to review AC... Until then, the power of flower compels you!

SMG has been out in Japan for a while so they had something to go by, whereas AC hasn't released anywhere yet.

[QUOTE="kiwisama"]maybe because the score of smg is more important to the hardcore gamer community and fanboys than ac's score?CelineDion

I agree with your statement that Galaxy is more hardcore than AC.

Joke? AC is more hardcore, SMG will appeal to the casuals way more than AC.

It is because the early reviews have been paid off to give it a good score

hence why the new banner ads you see feature their high score reviews on them...

Seriously, come on. You're suggesting that Ubisoft paid off Famitsu, Game Informer, Games Radar, and Gamepro to give Assassin's Creed stellar reviews?

After reading some early reviews I highly doubt this game isn't what it's hyped up to be. The graphics are sweet and the premise is cool...I just don't want to play as a muslim killing christians. Straight up, no offense but that's it.
