Why so many fanboys here claimed PS3 is a failure but.....

....they not say the same to Xbox & GC. Both console are far behind PS2 in term of sales. But why all of this Sony hate? 4.8 million sales in 9 month with lack of AAA games and high price tag that`s not bad. Yes it`s in third place but to claim it as a failure...It is just too early. And to think soo many FF fans, GT fans and MGS fans will ignore PS3 just like that....That`s impossible.Why? Why Xbox and GC no considered as a FAIL?Heri012

Sony fansdid call the GC and xbox a failure, in fact I've seen numerous people in the last week bash the original xbox as a failure. Whats the real shock for sony is going from being miles out in first place (with something like 70% market share off the top of my head please someone correct me) last gen to a very poor third this gen(with around 15-20% market share.)

Now in anyone's books that would have to be considered a disaster wouldn't it?

They all failed to meet expectations. Though an argument could be made that the Xbox didn't.

It's a failure because every single shred of new info that is released concerning the PS3, whether it be in the form of press releases or game reviews, is bad news and has been since the system launched.

All the supposed system sellers keep failing, Heavenly Sword, Lair, all flops, and the only decent games are multiplats that end up scoring better on other systems.

I want to believe, I really do. I own a PS2, and want the type of longevity from a system that thus far only Sony has been able to provide, but this one seems like a dud.

The X-Box and Gamecube were failures (actually, the GC made a lot of money, so from Nintendo POV it was a success).

The PS3 isn't a failure. It can't be a failure until next gen.

However, at the time being, it is certainly failing.

Failure = Not yet.

Failing = At the moment, yes.

Uhh last place is a failure no matter how you present it.swanlee

this is like a race, and the player with the slowest acceration doesn't always lose, their top speed may be great enough to clinch a win by the end. that's y we wait till the end to post the results of a race, before then the outcome is undecided.
