It's a role reversal... last year Sony was in the dumps, now MS is having a rough early '08. Times change.TDLlamaI wouldnt call it a rough year.Hardware sales are hardly behind the others and software sales are still on top.Come fall with games like fable 2,too human and gears 2,hardware sales will increase big time and software sales will be even more phenominal than it ever was.
That happens when you overhype and underdeliver.PS_Family
wow ....if you say so......i cant wait to have something to play on my ps3...the last thing i bought for it was "no country for old men"....if anything sony needs to pick up the pace......i love my ps3 and anticipate much more games for it than my 360 right now....but my 360 is the system that has actually been played due to the fact that it has "DELIVERED" games
i guess because a) now that Halo3 is out, the 360 is past its prime and b) there is nothing innovative in the games coming. Granted LBP is the only innovative game coming for the PS3 and home will be a hit-or-miss for the PS3 owners, but at least it is something different from the hundreds of fps indian_playa
Yes, because Fable, Banjo Kazooie, and Ninja Gaiden are FPS.

C'mon, "past its prime" when Gears 2 has been announced for the end of the year? When GTAIV is going to have huge DLC on the system? When games like Too Human, Fable 2, and Halo Wars are gaining hype with every month that passes? The idea that the 360 is the "Halo system" is something that only fanboys who don't have one believe; the original Xbox may have survived mostly on the strength of the first two games in that series, but Halo 3 was not the beginning of the 360, nor will it be the end of the console. If anything, people can now get over Halo, and move on to the many other games that deserve attention. Hell, with Mistwalker and even SquareEnix lending some RPG support to the 360 (not to mention the Tales series coming over), the 360 is getting better and the lineup is getting more and more diverse. Hardware failures have certainly hurt the 360 so far, but with even those slowing (and hopefully disappearing in the near future), there's no real reason to claim that the 360 is "past its prime".
If anything, the 360 is getting even better with age. Now all MS needs is blu-ray add-on. ;)

its definitly got a good line up of games coming...but i see much more potential in what the ps3 will be able to do....im not sure how much more the 360 is capable of
That happens when you overhype and underdeliver.PS_Family
The 360 runs the games charts. They certainly aren't underdelivering. If any console undelivers its the one with games that the install base doesn't deem worth buying.
I mean, I just can't understand why there has been so much hate towards it lately. I mean if you ask me, 2008 is shaping up to be a great year for it with games like Ninja Gaiden 2, Too Human, Gears of War 2, Fable 2, and Banjo Kazooie 3. Out of all 3 systems, it has the lineup I'm looking forward to the most. Granted the PS3 has Resistance 2, Killzone 2, MGS 4, GT5, and LBP, and the Wii has good games coming too, it has as much staying power as the other 2 systems. I just don't understand what the uproar against it is about.sebs09
IMO these 2008 games for 360, totally destroy any game PS3 comes up with in 2008, especially mediocre shooters for me like Killzone 2, Haze and generic stuff like that
So, it is not called hate, it is called damage control

See, I've got a PS3, and like I believe you mentioned earlier, it's an awesome blu-ray player, but as to potential...Well, I haven't seen anything that's led me to believe developers are going to be doing anything on the PS3 that they couldn't do on the 360. Is it possible that the PS3 will show it's "true power" someday? Sure. But so far it's all talk, and since I've had much more fun with my 360 gaming-wise, I see no reason to give up on it now.
its not a matter of giving up on a system......its noticing that uncharted felt more alive than alot of my 360 games......im looking forward to what killzone2 ,resistance 2 ,mgs4, and lbp bring to the table....they all look alot better than what ive come to expect from my 360(graphically of course)....but im just stating observation because im also stoked for quite a few 360 games also...not because they look like they push any real boundries...but bc they look funi_Pwn_TheVuhJay
Sorry, Mass Effect, Lost odyssey, Viva Pinata, Blue Dragon felt 1000x more alive than Drake static worlds and emtpy levels, or enemies that fell from the sky
Fable 2 will have more life and AI in it, than ALL PS3 excluisve games coming out the next 2 years too

I think the video gaming community is the worst of all communities, I don't know any other hobby in this world where the community spreads so much misinformation and flat out lies.

I don't understand what you mean by "ABLE TO DO" exactly what do you see that PS3 can do that the 360 can't? just curious, not trying to start a fight.:D
I used to hate MS in the windows 98 days, and ME was garbage, but then they released windows XP and it is very stable and well designed product. Vista isnt so bad either, i havent had a single issue with it and i've used it since alpha stages. (obvisouly it had issues until RC versions tho) but in terms of their console, I wasnt a huge fan of the first one... it was ok at best, like fun, but the controller was TERRIBLE! Then the 360 came out, and the changes on teh controller were subtle but made it feel like one of the most comfortable controlers available. The hardware has had issue for some, but myself I havent had a single issue. Their live service is much better this gen over last gen... they have great fun games and good exclusives. Personally, I couldnt be happoer with MS lately.
And the fact that Bill Gates donates 2/3rd of his own personal profit to charity is a huge thing because every xbox sold helps osmeone somewhere in some manner or another.
ask the millions of poor Xbox360 owners who got the RROD once or more + other hardware problems why there is so much hate for the Xbox360 :)

No wonder the weather was so crappy last week. God was pissed that fable 2 was coming :P.
RROD: a huge issue and ive lost 2 xbox 360s thanks to it
PS3 killer 08 lineup: A lot of highly anticipated games coming and cows claim victory over the xbox 360s lineup{i rather have the ps3s}
Multliplats: Multliplats are starting to look and play better on the ps3
GTAIV: Exclusive dlc but rockstar has announced the ps3 will get there own form of dlc
Format war: Blueray destroys HDD in the format war
Microsoft: They are trying to buy bluery from sony and have a blueray equppied xbox 360{ may not happen}
Fanboys: Saolin323= Fable addict and blind fanboy giving lemmings bad rep
Fanboys: Mystichoarse= pc addict hates all consoles and states that we have lower standerds
Fanboys: Spider- jones= Wii addict= Gloats about the wii winning and makes useless fanboy topics stating how stupid he is
I cant think of anything else
Its good news and good news. MS going Blu is nothing but a publicity blow for them, and a confidence rattler for their would-be customers.

360 is a very nice console (not hardware wise though but software).
Fable 2 would be good,i would love to see that on PS3,but still i dont mind thatm uch because i will have it on my pc soon or later.
The thing with this hate is the OVERHYPE of some lemmings the past months that bashed everything about PS3. Blu-ray,no games, high price and ofcourse the difference on sales. As this generation continues,we see Blu-ray won the war vs HD-DVD,PS3 starting have good games, price dropped and ofcourse, sales (even without ANY BIG hit game out yet) outselling X360 in europe, japan!!
So after a year of lemmings bashing cows for the reasons i gave you, this time seems its cows turn. Besides we are in SW. Fanboyism here is ... QQ!!! you know what i mean. Big one!!

i really dont know!
i love my 360
it's really pretty simple, some people will always hate MS products.d3thm0nkey
hey, thats me!!!when i dont know I gonna take me more than just pc games to impress me because pc graphic cards are awsome.
